The modifications to Little Boy had been completed successfully.
Hirito even had the time to upgrade its mouth mechanism, enabling it to fire explosive kunai in addition to poison needles.

Stronger, Faster, More Lethal
Compared to the original version, the upgraded Little Boy had grown slightly taller and heavier, but its speed had increased significantly.
Its short-distance bursts and aerodynamic mobility had skyrocketed, greatly boosting its combat effectiveness.
With Fatty upgraded as well, Hirito's overall strength had risen tremendously.
At this point, even defeating Sasori would be much easier than before.
The battle ended quickly.
Hirito watched as Little Boy's toothed blade sliced Black Ant clean in half, while Fatty's pneumatic fist smashed through Salamander's shield.
Sasori's brows furrowed.
Another loss.
And this time—it was even more decisive.
Hirito's rate of improvement was faster than his own.
Sasori clenched his fists.
Annoying.
But also… exciting.
"You win," Sasori muttered, storing his damaged puppets into a sealing scroll.
"Then…" Hirito started.
"Let's go," Sasori cut him off, turning away.
A thoughtful look lingered on his childlike face.
How should I upgrade my puppets to defeat Hirito?
Hirito smiled.
His next objective was Monzaemon's book—"Advanced Design and Application of Puppet Mechanisms."
At the training ground gate, Nanaken watched as Hirito and Sasori walked away.
Then, he turned to his younger sister, Nanako.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Nanako asked.
Nanaken tapped his chin, thoughtful.
"I have a feeling that you wouldn't be able to defeat Hirito anymore."
Nanako blinked in disbelief.
"Me? What about Sasori?"
"You can forget about that. Sasori might not be able to win either."
Nanako frowned.
"But I—"
"You only control two puppets. Sasori's puppets are at least equal to yours, and his mastery of Black Secret Techniques is incredible. You might not be able to win."
Nanako's expression darkened.
She had graduated at 11, joined the puppet corps at 12, and became a Chunin at 13.
She was considered a genius.
But compared to Hirito and Sasori, she felt like an ordinary student.
"…Maybe Chiyo-sama was like this when she was young," she muttered with forced optimism.
Inside Sasori's study, Hirito's eyes sparkled as he read through Monzaemon's book.
"I see… By upgrading the chakra hub's materials and structure, a single chakra string can weave a control network inside the puppet. This allows the user to manipulate multiple puppets more efficiently—potentially even using a single chakra string!"
"So the key is chakra shape manipulation… I should try this during my next puppet modifications."
Sasori's house held many secret techniques that were never shared publicly.
This family had produced four master puppeteers, making their collected knowledge invaluable.
For most puppeteers, reaching Kage-level required decades of dedication—but Sasori had inherited this knowledge from birth.
BANG!
Hirito snapped the book shut, stretching his arms.
His clone in the DC world had already memorized the entire text.
"Alright, time to eat. Sasori, want to join me?"
Sasori shook his head, still focused on repairing his puppets.
"There's food in the ice cellar. I'll just grab something later."
Hirito grinned.
"Come on, let's go out. The village is noisy today. I doubt you'll be able to concentrate."
Sasori paused, then looked out the window.
"Why is it so noisy?"
Hirito listened carefully to the voices in the streets below.
"Seems like troops from the Rain Country front lines have returned," Hirito mused.
Sasori's expression darkened slightly.
"They brought back a lot of supplies. That means the situation at the front must be bad. Otherwise, they wouldn't have looted so much so quickly."
Sasori turned his gaze towards the far end of the street.
"My grandmother is back."
Hirito followed his gaze and saw a tall, middle-aged man walking towards them—Ebizo.
Beside him, a woman in her fifties with graying hair and sharp eyes strode forward.
Her presence was commanding.
That was Chiyo—Sunagakure's legendary elder, second only to the Third Kazekage in strength and authority.
Hirito straightened up.
As Chiyo approached, her piercing gaze softened.
"You must be Hirito," she said warmly.
"It's been a long time since Sasori brought a new friend home."
Hirito bowed respectfully.
"Elder Chiyo."
Chiyo's lips curled into a smile.
"Sasori," she turned to Sasori, "I've heard that you've become the youngest-ever member of the Puppet Corps. I'm proud of you."
She squatted down, reached out, and gently patted Sasori's head.
For a brief moment, the cold, calculating prodigy looked like a normal child.
