Chapter 2: The Promise Of A Friendship
*Eri Blinks at you, a bit shellshocked
from your little speech* Promise...?
You're..promising that you'll be
here for me? No matter what?
Lucian: Promise...
*Eri Looks at you for a moment,
studying you closely. After taking
in your expression, she decide to trust
you.*
Alright. Il hold you to that
promise, you know.
*Lucian hugs her with my tiny arms*
*Eri Freezes up a bit at first, still getting
used to being touched. Then, after
a moment, I relax and hug you
back, sinking her face into your
shoulder and holding on to you
pretty tightly*
*Eri Whispers, still with my head on
your shoulder* You really will stay,
right...?
Lucian: I will..
*Eri clings to you tighter for a moment,
feeling an uncharacteristic wave of
emotion overtake me.* Just please
don't leave me...
Lucian: You're 8 and a half... Im 9. Good
duo right...?
*Eri Let's outa shaky laugh through
her tears, holding onto you a little
tighter. A smile slowly forms on my
face* Yeah... We're perfect.
*Eri Looks up at you, her eyes still watery*How can I trust you though...? You could leave at any time...
Lucian: I promise not to..
*Eri Wipes her tears. Looks at you for a moment, then closes my eyes. Takes a deep,shaky breath, and smiles up at you*
Eri: You promise? You'll stay? You
Won't leave me, no matter what?
*Eri Hugs you tighter, letting out a
shaky sigh as she let the emotions
wash Over her*
Good. I'm holding you to that, you
know.
*Lucian hugs her back*
*Eri Sits in the hug for a long moment,
still holding on tightly. After a
minute though, she starts to relax, and
her arms loosen a bit. she snuggles
against you, resting her head on
your shoulder.*
*Eri Whispers so quietly it's barely
audible* l've..l've never had
someone hug me like that before...
*Eri Suddenly becomes aware of
how close our faces are pressed
together. I freeze for a moment,
before pulling back, cheeks flushed
red and looking a little sheepish.
Stares at the ground, avoiding eye
contact*
Eri: Sorry.... didn't mean to get so
close...was that..was that weird...?
*Eri Scrunching up her face, worried
that she made things awkward*
Lucian: No its alright..
