Mivina's Sphere
"Baby, my love, wake up. It's time for you to get ready for your new environment," Mivina's mum said, her voice soft but her smile firm with determination.
Mivina groaned, pulling the blanket over her head. "Oh, Mum, do I have to get ready now? I'm so tired," she replied, her tone a mix of frustration, sleepiness, and a hint of rebellion.
Her mum's smile faded slightly, replaced with a more authoritative expression. "Yes, you have to. Enough of this chit-chat now, get up and get dressed," she said firmly, folding her arms in a no-nonsense stance.
Mivina rolled onto her back, staring at the ceiling with a deep sigh. "What type of life is this?" she muttered under her breath. "No free chances, no freedom to say no, and definitely no freedom to skip school."
As her mum excused herself to take a phone call outside the room, Mivina slowly sat up, her face a picture of resignation mixed with quiet annoyance. "Ugh," she groaned again, dragging herself out of bed.
"Who knows how this new school will be? The name alone sounds strange. Ew!'Whispering Pines School'? Only the Creator will save me," Mivina muttered under her breath, her face scrunched in distaste.
"Are you up or not?" Mrs. Carter's sharp voice broke through the silence.
"Yes, Mum!" Mivina replied, stamping her foot on the floor in frustration as she threw her blanket aside.
The unfamiliar number on Mrs. Carter screen caught her off guard, and she quickly glanced at it, surprised by the sudden interruption.
"Hello, am I speaking to Mrs. Carter?" a voice on the other end asked politely.
"Yes, I'm Mrs. Carter. Any issues?" she replied, her tone calm but attentive.
"No, ma'am. I'm a teacher from Whispering Pines School," the caller explained. "I wanted to inform you that there are additional requirements needed before Mivina can proceed with her enrollment." The woman's voice was calm and professional.
Mrs. Carter straightened slightly, her voice even and composed. "Oh? What requirements?"
"Firstly, we will need her formal school clearance to confirm her conduct at her previous school," the caller, who identified herself as Mrs. Rowena, continued. "Secondly, her academic results are necessary for us to determine the appropriate section for her. If those are unavailable, she will need to take a placement test. These requirements weren't included in the transfer student prospectus."
"I understand," Mrs. Carter said, her tone steady. "We'll make sure to bring everything along when we come."
"Thank you, ma'am. We'll see you then," Mrs. Rowena concluded warmly.
Ending the call, Mrs. Carter glanced at Mivina, who stood nearby, her face still twisted in a mixture of annoyance and curiosity. "Get ready," Mrs. Carter instructed with calm authority. "We have more to prepare for than I thought."
Mivina groaned inwardly. "This is going to be fun," she muttered sarcastically, trudging off to get dressed.
Harry's sphere
"Hey, son, I found a fantastic school with excellent facilities and a great reputation. It's one of the best in town;Whispering Pine School," Sir George said as he sat back on the couch, the newspaper in one hand and a hot cup of coffee sitting on the side table.
"Nice, Dad, so soon? I thought it would take some time to find that," Henry replied, his voice muffled as he busied himself in the kitchen, stirring his tea while the chef prepared breakfast.
"Son, you know for you, I can suspend my personal time to fulfill your needs." Sir George lowered his glasses slightly, looking at his son with a knowing smile.
Henry walked back into the room, holding a steaming cup of tea, his face lighting up with excitement. "Dad, how did you do this? Who suggested the school to you? The name alone is mind-blowing;'Whispering what?'"
"Whispering Pine," Sir George corrected, his tone light. "Why not? Even if I don't know all the details, I have good connections."
"Nice shot, Dad," Henry said with a grin, already feeling the rush of excitement. "So, when am I going to start? I can't wait! I already feel some kind of energy clicking inside me to begin!"
"Well..." Sir George hesitated, glancing at his son. "I think you're resuming the day after tomorrow."
"Wow, that's so soon, Dad! But, anyway, I'm on it. You don't know how relieved and free I feel. I have a good feeling about this school... and also, um..." Henry cleared his throat, his smile mischievous. "You know, Dad."
Sir George raised an eyebrow but didn't comment. "Hmm, I don't know your plans, gentleman, but all I want is for you to start fresh. Forget everything about your mum. Make friends who are positive and full of good vibes. Enjoy your life, okay?"
"Thanks, Dad." Henry stood up and gave his father a firm handshake. "I will definitely be fine." He flashed a confident smile before heading toward the door.
