STAVKA HEADQUARTERS, PONTUS, KAZAN
Alexander Kuznetsov glanced at the reports presented to him on the conquest of Kyurii. None were satisfactory - one had even gone so far as to suggest a submarine-fired nuclear missile - as if they didn't already know about the Inazumans' naval and missile supremacy! It left a bad taste in his mouth, he thought, as he chewed on his pipe.
As he swirled a glass of premium vodka - it had taken even someone of his rank almost five months to get it - something caught his eye. A report suggesting using the recently commissioned Arkhangelsk and Tu-95 Bears? Ah, yes. Finally, a sensible plan.
He contacted his secretary and asked for Colonel Igor Kaganovich and three pots of strong coffee. If he wasn't sleeping tonight, neither was the colonel.
EASTERN FLEET BASE, PONTUS, POLYARNYY
Captain Viktor Tupolev gazed at the soldiers straggling onto the Arkhangelsk, letting out a snort as one nearly tumbled into the sea. Even the Spetznaz seemed to be struggling aboard an LST. Elite commandos couldn't do shit against the raging power of the Rodina's seas. He frowned at the Inazuman insignias and pennant on the main mast - it wasn't something he wanted on his ship, but like this, it could pass for an Akebono Maru without any problem.
Colonel Igor Kaganovich stood beside him wordlessly, watching dockmen load a crate of 50 SA-10 missiles and a SA-10 land-based missile silo. The last of the 1000 Spetznaz stumbled onto the Arkhangelsk as the captain and the colonel stepped onto the ship and made for the Kyurii Islands. This mission would not require subterfuge, however. The key lay in being spotted by Inazuman aircraft.
