prologue

We all are familiar with multiverse theory, the possibility of more than one universe having the existence of a human-like race or even aliens.

January 1st, 1950, was the day humanity felt true fear when this theory was proved wrong…due to some unexpected events in the universe two different universes got connected through supernatural portals. These portals started opening out of nowhere in our earth making unimaginable monsters coming out, slaughtering humans one by one.

Military? Nah… they didn't stand a chance. Even though they were able to take down a few small monsters with massive military weapons, even a normal tree-heightened monster was able to take thousands of bullets head-on.

While the whole world was in chaos, despair and losing faith in everything the universe again started to balance itself 

Fire, Water, Earth, Air and Space made supernatural contact with humanity giving humans magical powers to protect themselves, some humans were finally 

awakened…!

75 years passed

Almost everything changed, chaos was long over, the imaginary thought of using magic was now a reality, and most of the monsters were eliminated who lurked out through those portals, these portals are now classified as 'Gates' which lead to other dimensions, each having different types of race and threat. 

The Hunter Association (assigned by the central government) held responsibility for safeguarding the country and raiding the Gates. It was now a balance of power, humans were able to hunt monsters in their domain basically inside Gates and collect valuable resources like potions, mystery weapons and even items that could bring the dead alive. These ruins from Gates have very high value in the normal market while unimaginable in the black market.

Pay for even a low-ranking hunter is on par with normal businessmen's earnings, while higher ranking ones have every power in their fist be it money or brutal strength of magic, this factor usually pops light in everyone's mind to become a hunter, unfortunately only 30% are awakened ones.

People are not gifted with any ability, have higher intelligence which keeps them surviving among their own kind of monsters

All this change and balancing got society on track again, fear is long gone from everyone's mind, and the train is running smoothly.

However…when you look at those 'Gates'… skying their heights to mountains 

You will doubt the balance.
