WARNING: BLOOD & GORE

As Celeste basked in the tranquil embrace of her thoughts, her mind danced with the allure of a certain cerulean-eyed omega, entertaining the notion of embracing the mate bond with Alex. A serene smile graced her lips as she gazed up at the starless expanse above. But just as she settled into this contemplative reverie, a chirping voice intruded upon her solitude, shattering the delicate tranquility that enveloped her.

"At last!" Alexa breathed; her happiness palpable as she surveyed the storm brewing outside her window. "After today, I'll have the chance to kick out Alex from my room. Every time he succumbs to tears, he transforms into a delicate soul, overly affectionate and clinging, stirring my heart with sympathy until I relent and let him share my bed." With a soft grumble, she resigned herself to the inevitable confrontation with the intensifying storm, knowing it mirrored the tempest of emotions brewing within her.

"Hey, careful there," Celeste interjected, her laughter tinged with amusement. A playful glint danced in her eyes as she brushed her raven locks away from her face, the wind picking up its pace, carrying with it a chill that nipped at her skin. "Remember, you're talking about my mate. Maybe find a gentler way to phrase that?"

"Oh, feeling possessive already, are we?" Alexa snickered, a teasing glint in her eye. Celeste felt a faint blush warm her cheeks, but she didn't protest. Why would she? There was a certain satisfaction in claiming what rightfully belonged to her.

"Hey, Celeste, I hate to cut this short, but I really need to go, girl," Alexa exclaimed urgently. "Alex went to visit Chris and hasn't returned yet, even though it's been over an hour. I'm getting worried, especially with this weather turning so blustery and cold."

As Alexa relayed her concerns to Celeste, the latter interrupted before any farewells could be exchanged. "Hey, I'm actually in the forest," Celeste interjected, her voice carrying a hint of urgency. "I might be a bit of a trek from Chris's cabin, but don't worry, I'll make it there in no time. I'll—" Her words trailed off abruptly as her heightened senses picked up the unsettling sounds of growls and whimpers echoing through the trees.

After a brief pause, she noticed a faint metallic tang lingering in the air, a scent she knew all too well. Yet, overshadowing even the unmistakable odor of blood was the overpowering stench of the rogues, suffusing the atmosphere with its foul presence.

In a swift and decisive tone, Celeste relayed her urgent message to Alexa over the phone. "Alexa, I believe rogues are prowling nearby. I'll have to cut this short, but if you don't hear back from me and Alex within ten minutes, consider it a 'rogue attack' and inform the rest of the pack. They'll understand. Goodbye for now!"

Having delivered her message, Celeste ended the call and underwent her transformation, morphing into a creature reminiscent of the stygian void, a wolf whose fur blended seamlessly with the starless midnight sky. Her eyes, now scarlet red, emitted a dangerous and menacing glint as she prepared to confront the imminent threat.

As her metamorphosis was completed, the formidable black female Alpha vanished into the cloak of darkness, sprinting at full speed toward the suspected location of the rogues. Her mission was clear, she navigated the night with stealth and purpose, determined to protect her pack at any cost.

An hour had passed since Alex was expected to arrive at his friend's house, yet there he was, fleeing for his life in a direction entirely contrary to his best friend's cabin.

He dashed through the woods, his senses consumed by the urgency of his flight. Ignoring everything but the moonlit path stretching before him, Alex plunged deeper into the shadowy embrace of the forest.

Despite his labored breaths and profuse sweating, Alex pressed on, unable to halt his frantic pace, acutely aware of the peril hot on his heels. Yet, in a cruel twist of fate, his foot caught on the gnarled, protruding root of a massive tree, sending him tumbling to the ground in a jolt of searing pain as his ankle throbbed relentlessly.

The searing agony coursing through his ankle left Alex certain that he had either sprained it badly or, worse yet, suffered a more severe injury.

With a deep breath, he attempted to rise, but fate intervened with cruel timing. Just as he summoned the resolve to push through the unbearable pain, a sudden impact from above knocked him back to the forest floor, a powerful force pressing him down, rendering him immobile.

As Alex's vision gradually cleared, he let out a pained yelp as the weight of the large black wolf's paw pressed down on his throbbing ankle. "P-please... let me go," he pleaded, his voice trembling with fear and anguish while he was pinned down helplessly. But his pleas fell on deaf ears as another rogue, a female beta, closed in on him with predatory intent. With a chilling touch of her cold nose against his exposed neck, Alex shuddered in dread, feeling her inhale deeply, scenting him with a predatory curiosity.

It was a dire omen for an omega, particularly one without a mate.

After catching his scent, the black beta rogue emitted a low growl, her canines bared in a menacing display directed at the black Alpha rogue looming over the young omega.

Meanwhile, the other two wolves, one a tawny brown delta and the other an umber brown Alpha female, strode forward with unmistakable intimidating authority and dominance.

As the Alpha female approached the quivering omega sprawled on the forest floor, the male omega beside her shifted position, holding Alex's legs firmly in place. Meanwhile, the Alpha female bared her teeth and advanced to claim the omega as her own, ready to leave her mark upon him.

However, Alex fought desperately, his screams echoing through the forest as he feared being marked and torn from his home, his sister, and... Celeste. "N-no! Stay away! Stay away from me!" His struggles ceased abruptly when his arms were pinned at his sides, a sharp pain shooting through his right arm as the beta's claws inadvertently scratched him in the struggle thus, leading to the wounds bleed out.

Subdued and unable to break free, the omega gazed up at the merciless Alpha female with tear-filled cerulean eyes. She drew close, her nose hovering near the right side of his neck as she took in his scent before fully baring her teeth, poised to sink them into his flesh.

However, just as the Alpha female was about to sink her teeth into the trembling omega's vulnerable neck to claim him, she was abruptly tackled to the forest floor by another massive black wolf, larger than any of the rogues surrounding Alex.

As the unexpected intervention unfolded, the delta, beta, and male Alpha relinquished their hold on the omega without delay. Seizing the opportunity, Alex swiftly propped himself up on his trembling elbows, intent on escaping the perilous scene. However, his attempt was thwarted when the male delta pressed his paw down on Alex's throbbing ankle, eliciting a cry of agony from the young omega.

Alex remained fixed in place on the forest floor, unable to tear his gaze away from the savage altercation unfolding before him. He sat there, a silent observer, as the three wolves engaged in a brutal clash. His eyes widened in shock as he watched the Alpha female meet a gruesome fate, her head severed from her body in a chilling display of violence that left the young omega paralyzed with horror at the grisly scene unfolding before him.

Alex bore witness to every moment, every act of brutality unfolding before his eyes.

It proved to be an overwhelming onslaught for his fragile heart to endure.

He turned his gaze to the blood trickling from the lifeless Alpha Female's right ear, her body now lying in two separate pieces within a pool of blood.

His insides churned with revulsion, and the gruesome sight before him turned his stomach. Alex doubled over, retching as his nausea overwhelmed him. The scene was so sickening that his gut twisted in agony, leaving him certain he would be sick again soon after.

He leaned to his left after vomiting, aiming to avoid further soiling his already grimy clothes. Gradually regaining some strength and clarity despite the pounding ache in his head, he peered ahead, only to be met with the grim tableau of bloodshed unfolding before him. Fear gripped him, evident in the wide, fearful gaze of his big Bambi eyes.

He was still too young, yet forced to bear witness to such unspeakable horrors.

The delta's claws tore into his ankle, prompting a pained yelp to escape his lips. However, when he glanced up at the delta, a pang of empathy washed over him. The delta trembled, his gaze fixed on the grim spectacle unfolding before them, as their companions fell one by one in the most terrifying manner imaginable.

As Alex glanced back at the unfolding bloodshed, something peculiar snagged his attention; the stark white highlights adorning the tail of one of the combatants.

In a sudden revelation, he hazarded a guess that the frenzied Alpha amidst the chaos was none other than his imprinted mate, Celeste.

Alex's eyes already widened with shock, grew even wider as he witnessed Celeste overpowering the male Alpha and pinning him down before clawing at his eyes until one of them dislodged, rolling out into Alex's field of vision.

He gulped.

He swallowed hard, feeling the lump in his throat ache with the residue of nausea and the tight grip of fear constricting his breath. Alex longed for Celeste to cease her violent actions, but he was… afraid and the words refused to leave his lips, lost in the chaos of the moment.

He was... petrified of her.

He stood there, paralyzed by fear in Celeste's presence, unsure of what action to take besides observing the gruesome spectacle unfolding before him, his entire body trembling with dread.

What options did he have, after all?

He was just a gentle and vulnerable omega, coveted by all, with no power to alter the harrowing scene playing out before his eyes.

His horror deepened as he watched the nearly blinded Alpha male lurching towards him, released from Celeste's relentless assault. But before the male could reach him, Celeste swiftly intervened, pinning him to the ground with a forceful paw pressed against his neck from behind, the impact shattering a few bones in the process.

With calculated precision, she flipped him onto his back, exposing his vulnerable stomach to her ruthless onslaught. With a swift motion of her claws, she tore open his abdomen, unleashing a torrent of intestines and organs that spilled out amidst a pool of blood, the grisly sight unfolding directly before his horrified gaze.

It was a scene straight from the depths of the unforgiving night, the epitome of sheer diabolism.

Furthermore, the gruesome tableau unfolded much closer to him than Alex had anticipated. Startled, he couldn't help but release a small scream of shock before scrambling backward, attempting to flee. However, his escape was thwarted by the relentless grip of the delta's claw still clasped around his ankle.

In a desperate frenzy, he flailed about, finally managing to break free. Yet, in his frantic struggle, his head collided with a hard root, leaving a gash on the right side of his forehead that began to ooze blood.

His head pounded with renewed intensity, but he had little capacity to dwell on the pain. The sound of a loud, dominating growl echoed through the air, sending shivers down his spine and intensifying his already trembling form tenfold.

He froze in his tracks, consumed by fear and unable to defy the wrathful Alpha. Though the menacing growl wasn't directed at him, his body instinctively bowed to its authority, surrendering to the intimidating presence of the female Alpha.

As he struggled to move, Alex pondered the reason behind his immobility. "Is the imprint truly this powerful?" he wondered, his thoughts racing amidst the chaos. He glanced over his shoulder and witnessed Celeste's fierce growl directed at the trembling delta. Despite the delta's evident fear, he remained rooted in place, whimpering softly, his gaze fixed downward in complete submission.

In the blink of an eye, Celeste's massive black paw struck the delta's jaw with startling force, sending him hurtling through the air until he collided with a tree just ahead. The impact was fierce, rendering the delta instantly unconscious as he slumped to the ground, his body crumpled against the unyielding trunk of the tree.

As Alex shifted, his ankle twisted slightly, eliciting a sharp yelp of pain. Instinctively, he adjusted his position without even realizing it, finding himself seated against the tree trunk. His legs sprawled out over the large, gnarled roots that stretched across the forest floor.

His eyes widened with fear and shimmered with cerulean intensity under the moon's strong, dark light, which cast an eerie glow over the entire forest, illuminating its depths with otherworldly brilliance.

Even bathed in the ethereal glow of moonlight, there was an undeniable magic lingering within them.

Fear clenched at Alex's throat as Celeste's gaze shifted towards him.

Her scarlet-red eyes, accented with a white glint, intensified, rendering them all the more terrifying and imposing.

His trembling escalated, accompanied by a profuse sweat as his omega instinctively released submissive pheromones into the air, their delicate scent swirling around him. Even his fingers quivered uncontrollably, and his breaths came in erratic spurts, rendered irrelevant by the overwhelming fear consuming him. He was gripped by an overwhelming sense of dread, so potent that it threatened to bring tears to his eyes.

He was afraid.

He was so afraid of her that he felt like crying.

As Celeste's paw edged closer to Alex, he instinctively retreated further, pressed against the unyielding trunk behind him. He felt trapped, with no escape in sight. Tears welled in his eyes, tracing paths down his pallid cheeks as he locked gazes with the advancing Alpha, who moved deliberately closer, casting a daunting shadow over him.

As Celeste extended her paw towards Alex, she lowered her head, locking eyes with the omega's stunning cerulean gaze, which danced with unrestrained fear solely because… of her presence.

After just a few moments of intense scrutiny, Celeste lowered her head to nestle in the crook of Alex's neck, inhaling deeply to absorb his scent and soothe her frayed nerves. His aroma proved remarkably effective in calming both her and her wolf, easing the tension that had gripped them both.

Nevertheless, she found herself disliking the lingering scent of the other Alpha on him, a notion that sparked a surge of fury deep within her. Despite this, she reined in her emotions, tempering her reaction, as she recognized Alex's current state of fear and didn't want to exacerbate it by pouncing on him for attempting to rid himself of the other Alpha's scent.

Even amidst the chaos, she retained enough clarity to observe these subtle nuances.

Throughout the fight, she steadfastly refused to relinquish control to her wolf, remaining firmly in command of her actions. Her brutality stemmed purely from her own nature, rather than any influence from her wolf.

Moreover, the scent of the other female Alpha was gradually dissipating, alleviating Celeste's immediate concern. Thus, she decided to exercise patience for the time being.

Despite still trembling with fear, Alex tentatively brushed his quivering fingers through the stygian fur of the Alpha he had fallen deeply for. However, he quickly withdrew his hand as he felt something cold, sticky, and wet make contact with his trembling fingers.

As he raised his right hand before him, he beheld his once pristine, milky-white fingers now shrouded in blood, triggering a wave of nausea within him.

For he understood the implications all too well.

He recognized that the blood staining his fingers wasn't hers; rather, it was the blood of the rogues, drenching her fur.

However, Alex lacked the courage to address her about it, consumed by fear in her presence. Thus, he resigned himself to the uncomfortable silence lingering between them. Despite being male, he couldn't escape the reality of his omega status because, by the end of the day, he was the most fragile mortal to ever exist.

He dared not risk provoking her into snapping at him.

He longed for the day to draw to a close, yearning for the opportunity to discuss the rogue attack with Celeste once he had received treatment. Suffering from a myriad of symptoms—sickness, fatigue, exhaustion, and bone-deep aches—he attributed to his intense trembling induced by the chilling, harsh weather.

With weary eyes, Alex cast a glance towards the place where a scene unfolded not far from him—a scene that epitomized the brutality of the bloodshed.

Moreover, the bloodshed, an event he desperately wished to erase from his memory, was something he realized he couldn't forget. Not when it served as a stark reminder of the one, he truly loved.
