Mordrakk extended his arm his palm facing forward. Instantly a glowing blue magic circle with two distinct outlines and ancient markings in between. The center of the circle is hollow, creating a dark void. The markings pulse with an eerie light, radiating a powerful and ominous energy. The air around it appears distorted, charged with immense magical force.
The intense blue light illuminated Victor's face, his panic-stricken expression laid bare.
Without hesitation, Mordrakk clenched his fist. The portal pulsed in response, unleashing a spiraling blue blast that shot forward with devastating force.
Flames erupted where Victor had stood evading the attack . The blast tore through the ground, carving deep into the earth as shockwaves rippled through the city.
Mordrakk smirked, his teeth flashing in thrill, he shifted his arm towards Victor the portal responding simultaneously, another powerful blast surged from the portal, Victor evades the attack by a hair's length, Mordrakk was relentless in his attacks but Victor was a bit faster dodging each of them.
Mordrakk's eyes twitched, anger surging through his body. "I know where I'll get you" A heinous smirk crept up his face. He slowly presses his arm downward forcing the portal to face up until it met with a skyscraper on the far side of the city. The smile on his face expanded slowly.
Victor's eyes widened on realization.
Mordrakk's palm slowly widened, the portal reacted, the void at the center seemed to act like a vacuum sucking energy from the air, immediately Mordrakk clenched his palm, a powerful blast shot straight upwards at devastating speed aiming for the top of the skyscraper.
Victor one leg stretched out and the other bent at the knee his fingers held onto the ground, his head tilted downwards and then–
BOOM!!
A powerful surge of flames erupted from the spot he stood, rocketing him up into the sky headed straight for the building, flames surged outwards from his palm, shooting him through the air, he was side by side with the explosion, with another powerful push his flames increased shooting him far past the blast.
He was already in front of the building his arm pushed forward slowing down his movements nevertheless he crashed into the building through one of its massive windows.
A large well furnished hallway with desks and chairs at different angles and a computer on each of them. Screams echoed throughout the hallway as Victor crashed into the building.
Immediately he turned facing the blast that was already close, he exploded towards it, immediately both his arms coiled at the elbows behind his back, with a powerful push two massive torrents of flames exploded out from his palms, increasing in size as they surged further ahead.
The twin torrents of fire roared forward, meeting the incoming blast head-on. The moment they clashed, a violent shockwave erupted, shaking the entire building. Flames and energy spiraled into each other, twisting and expanding in a chaotic storm of destruction.
Victor gritted his teeth, his muscles straining as he poured more power into his flames, pushing against the overwhelming force of Mordrakk's attack. The pressure was immense, the heat unbearable—but he refused to let go.
Cracks spread along the walls, windows shattered, and the ceiling groaned under the strain. The sheer force of the collision sent gusts of wind tearing through the office space, scattering papers and debris. The screams of terrified workers filled the air, their figures scrambling for safety.
Victor's feet skidded backward, struggling to maintain ground. His mind raced—this wasn't enough. The blast was still advancing, inching closer despite his full effort. I need more power.
His flames surged brighter, but even as he pushed, the realization struck—he was running out of time.
Victor's feet skidded backward, struggling to maintain ground. His mind raced—this wasn't enough. The blast was still advancing, inching closer despite his full effort. I need more power.
Mordrakk's grin stretched unnaturally wide, carving a deep line across his face. With a flick of his fingers, the portal in front of him faded into nothing.
Then—BOOM!—he exploded upward, rocketing toward Victor.
Victor's body ached, every muscle screaming in protest, but hesitation wasn't an option. Gritting his teeth, he launched himself forward, flames surging from his palms as he closed the distance in an instant.
The moment he reached Mordrakk, he thrust both arms outward, a spiraling inferno erupted from his hands, roaring toward his foe. But before it could consume him, a blue portal shimmered to life, one directly in front of Mordrakk, the other to Victor's left.
The flames vanished into the portal only to reappear beside him.
Victor barely had time to react before the inferno engulfed his body. Then, in an instant, the flames stopped—frozen in place, as if time itself had paused. The fire twisted and coiled, pulling away from Victor's form, compressing into a concentrated sphere above his palm.
"Bad mistake!" Victor roared.
Without hesitation, he thrust his arm forward, fingers clenching into a fist. A thin, searing line of flame burst outward, stretching toward Mordrakk. The fire struck, sending Mordrakk hurtling backward—until he suddenly caught himself midair.
A heinous grin spread across his face. "Not bad... that was even hotter than before." His eyes glowed with wicked amusement. "I think I need to up my game a little... don't you think?"
Before Victor could respond, Mordrakk shot forward, vanishing into a portal.
Victor's heart pounded. His eyes trying to locate Mordrakk.
Too late.
Another portal flashed open to his left—Mordrakk erupted from it, his fist already rocketing forward toward Victor's chin.
Victor moved on instinct, raising his arm to block but Mordrakk's fist vanished into yet another portal reappearing right in front of Victor's gut.
Mordrakk's fist buried itself into Victor's gut, driving forward as if to pierce straight through him. Victor's head jerked forward, a mist of saliva and air bursting from his lips.
BOOM!!
His body rocketed backward, a violent gust trailing in his wake. Mordrakk smirked, stepping into a portal before him, reappearing ahead of Victor's trajectory. With a single outstretched hand, he caught Victor mid-flight, halting him instantly.
A sinister chuckle rumbled from Mordrakk's throat. "Let's have some fun."
Two portals shimmered to life—one in front, the other behind. Mordrakk tightened his grip on the back of Victor's neck, lifting him effortlessly. With a flick of his wrist, he hurled Victor skyward.
Victor barely had time to register his surroundings before—
BOOM!!
Mordrakk's fist drove into his gut, launching him into the portal before him. In an instant, Victor shot out from the portal behind Mordrakk, only to be met with another crushing blow to the ribs, sending him hurtling forward once more.
BOOM!!
Each time Victor emerged, another strike awaited him. A vicious cycle of relentless punishment. His body twisted and recoiled with every impact, bones rattling under the sheer force. The shockwaves alone fractured the surrounding structures, sending debris scattering through the air.
Mordrakk laughed, his voice dripping with sadistic amusement. "You still don't get it, do you?"
BOOM!!
Another devastating punch crashed into Victor's body, forcing a ragged gasp from his lips. Mordrakk leaned in, his voice cold and absolute.
"I am a god compared to you. From the moment this battle began—" He
struck again, sending Victor reeling. "—your chances of victory never once rose above zero."
