AT THE SAME TIME
WANESSA'S POINT OF VIEW:
The towering trees stretched endlessly into the sky, their branches twisting unnaturally, as if they were alive. Mist curled around our feet, whispering through the silence, and a strange unease settled deep in my gut. Something wasn't right.
"Why does this place feel wrong?" Isabella muttered beside me.
"New trial initiated. Participants must overcome illusions. Failure to resist will result in permanent entrapment. Good luck!" System said.
A chill ran down my spine as the system's voice echoed in my mind.
"Illusions?" This was something new. We'd never faced anything like this before.
"What the hell does that mean?" Michael asked, eyes narrowing.
Elder Charlie let out a heavy sigh, his expression unreadable.
"It means that this forest will test you in ways you're not prepared for."Charlie said.
"Oh, hell no."I heard Wren's voice.
