90. Xavier's injury and labour

AT THE SAME TIME

WANESSA'S POINT OF VIEW:

I could hear the frantic sounds of the others around me, but they felt so distant. I focused on Xavier, my heart hammering in my chest as I tried to stop the blood from spilling from his side. My hands trembled as I pressed against the wound, but it didn't seem to help. His body was so limp, so still.

"Xavier, please, stay with me." I begged, my voice breaking. His once strong and determined eyes were closed, and his breathing was shallow

. The world around me blurred as panic set in.

"Someone, anyone help him!" My voice shook with desperation. I couldn't lose him. Not now, not like this.

Terrence and Michael arrived next to me, their expressions pale, their faces twisted with fear.

"We need to get him to a healer, now!" Terrence shouted, his hands hovering over Xavier's body, unsure of what to do.
