SHADOW'S FANG

The ruins trembled again as a new threat emerged a creature that slithered like a serpent, its humanoid torso twisting unnaturally. Its six arms each held jagged, bone-like blades, and its hollow eyes glowed with malevolent intent.

Arden stepped forward, silent as a shadow, her twin blades gleaming faintly in her hands. The dark cloak draped over her figure flowed with her movements, and the shadow at her feet seemed to ripple like a living entity.

"Arden," Bran warned, his tone calm but firm

"I'll handle this," she replied softly, her violet eyes cold and sharp.

The beast lunged, its six blades descending in a flurry of strikes. Arden moved with precision, her lithe forming weaving through the assault like a thread through a needle. Her blades flashed, intercepting the beast's strikes with brutal efficiency.

She darted to its flank, her shadow surging forward to bind its legs. The beast screeched, slashing wildly at the encroaching darkness, but she was already above it.

Her twin blades glowed with a shadowy energy as she descended. In a single fluid motion, she severed two of its arms, black ichor spraying into the air.

The beast roared, retaliating with a powerful swipe of its tail. Arden leapt back, her cloak billowing, and landed silently, her expression unflinching. With a single, fluid strike, she severed three of its arms, her shadow-empowered blades carving through the flesh and bone like butter.

The chimera staggered, its ichor spilling onto the round. Arden didn't stop. She moved in a blur, her blades flashing as they sliced through its belly, bringing the beast crashing down.

Her shadows twisted upward, forming jagged spikes that pierced the creature's torso. The chimera let out one final, ear-splitting scream before collapsing, its body dissolving to ash.

Bran gave a faint nod, his tone carrying on edge of approval. "Well done".

She didn't respond, her focus already shifting to the path ahead.
