Reborn into the world of Alagaësia, James finds himself awakening not as a human, but as a dragon—a creature of legend and power. With royal purple scales and no Rider to guide him, he must navigate the rugged wilderness of the Spine, forging his own path in a world teetering on the brink of conflict.
Arriving twenty years before the rise of Eragon, James struggles to reconcile the fractured memories of his past life with his new existence. As he learns to survive in his unfamiliar body and uncovers the ancient instincts of his kind, he becomes increasingly aware of his place in a grander destiny. But without a Rider to share his bond, James is an anomaly—a dragon unbound by the traditions of his race.
As the shadow of Galbatorix looms and the pieces of Alagaësia’s fate begin to move, James must decide whether to remain hidden in the mountains or embrace the role destiny seems determined to thrust upon him. With danger lurking in every corner, his choices will shape the lives of those he encounters and may even alter the course of the Inheritance Cycle itself.
This is the story of a dragon who stands alone, a soul from another world seeking purpose in a land of myth, magic, and war. Will James find the Rider he was meant to bond with, or will he forge a new legend as a dragon untethered?
Reveal Spoiler
Cheeky author review it's my first story I hope people enjoy it but please give me your honest opinions I hope you enjoy
What a disappointment! The author delwte half the lore about the dragons Then we have a Mc full of self misery And total idiot! He could live his life free explore his powers and the world But no He spy Eaton and his cousins for years Waste time and crying why he has no rider My god what a trash plot
Has the makings of a great story but there is one thing that consistently bugged me throughout the time I spent reading. The author seems to believe that EVERY dragon had a rider. That there were no wild or riderless dragons after first bonds between dragons and elves occured, which was absolutely not true to the lore. The thought that people would treat the MC as an abomination due to his non-existent rider irked me since there was no indication for Brom or any elves who spotted him to believe that.
its an amazing story so far i hope you continiou writing the only complain i have is that i would like larger chapters other than that i love its much better that most

Pronto para ver si se merece las cinco estrellas, las coloco con la esperanza de que a diferencia de todos los otros libros de Eragon en este sitio, llegue hasta el final. Hasta ahora me gusta lo que he leido, seguí asi
It‘s an Eragon ff, so I have high hopes
I have never seen an Inheritance Cycle fanfic get past the first book, so author… I believe you can be the first. Btw, if my fellow readers could prove me wrong, please include sauce.
As the reader of the books. So far so good. Maybe bahamut would have been better to get that dragon pride and confidence more in his insticts though.
Do you need to know the book or movie to read this fic?
