The morning sun filtered through the curtains of the Son-Wu residence, casting a warm glow on what was supposed to be a peaceful day. Li-Yan Mei hummed a soft tune as she prepared breakfast, her movements graceful yet efficient. Son-Wu San sat at the table, sipping his tea with a rare moment of calm.
"Mama! Big Brother Long keeps trying to steal my hairpin!" Xian Xue's indignant voice echoed through the house, followed by the sound of tiny feet running.
"I just wanted to see if it's sharp enough to carve!" Xian Long defended, darting into the dining area with Xian Xue hot on his heels.
Before their mother could intervene, the hairpin in question slipped from Xian Long's grasp and embedded itself in the floor with an ominous hum. The wooden floor rippled unnaturally as if reacting to the pin's energy.
Li-Yan Mei sighed, rubbing her temples. "Children, how many times do I have to tell you not to infuse spiritual energy into everyday objects?"
Xian Xue puffed her cheeks. "It wasn't me! It's the pin—it reacts to whoever touches it!"
Son-Wu San chuckled, pulling the hairpin out with ease. "You kids have too much energy. Why don't you burn it off by going outside?"
The children exchanged a glance, their eyes lighting up. "Can we go to the park?" they asked in unison.
Li-Yan Mei hesitated. "The last time you went to the park, a fountain turned into a spiritual artifact, and half the city thought a treasure had been unearthed."
"That wasn't our fault!" Xian Long protested. "The fountain water just… liked us!"
Son-Wu San waved a dismissive hand. "Let them go. What's the worst that could happen? I'll keep an eye on them."
---
The park was bustling with life as mortals enjoyed the sunny day. The Son-Wu children skipped along the pathways, their energy infectious. Xian Xue spotted a group of children playing with a ball and immediately joined them, while Xian Long wandered toward a small pond, curious about the fish swimming lazily beneath the surface.
Nearby, a group of cultivators disguised as mortals observed the family cautiously. They were members of a hidden sect tasked with monitoring unusual spiritual fluctuations, and the Son-Wu family had been at the top of their list for weeks.
"That's them," one whispered. "The so-called normal family. Should we approach?"
"Absolutely not," another hissed. "Do you want to end up like the Silent Lotus Sect? They're still rebuilding after their interaction with the son."
Their whispered conversation was interrupted when Xian Long leaned over the pond. His fingers grazed the water, and in an instant, the serene surface shimmered, transforming into a golden hue. The fish began glowing, their forms elongating into small, dragon-like creatures that leapt out of the pond, spiraling into the sky.
The cultivators froze, their jaws dropping. "Did… did he just create celestial beasts by accident?"
Xian Long tilted his head, watching the glowing fish-turned-dragons ascend. "Oops. Mama's going to be mad."
---
Meanwhile, Xian Xue was having her own adventure. The children she'd joined were amazed by her skills as she effortlessly dodged and caught the ball.
"Wow! You're so good at this!" one of them exclaimed.
Xian Xue beamed. "Really? It's just a game."
She tossed the ball lightly, but it shot into the air like a comet, disappearing into the clouds. The other children stared in awe, thinking it was some kind of magic trick.
"Uh… I'll go get it," Xian Xue muttered, leaping into the air and vanishing.
Seconds later, the ball came hurtling back, landing perfectly in one of the kids' hands. Xian Xue landed beside them, grinning. "There! All done!"
The children cheered, completely oblivious to the supernatural display. The nearby cultivators, however, were frantically scribbling notes.

Li-Yan Mei and Son-Wu San sat on a nearby bench, enjoying the rare moment of quiet.
"They're being surprisingly well-behaved," Son-Wu San remarked.
Li-Yan Mei raised an eyebrow. "Do you really believe that?"
At that moment, a booming noise echoed through the park. A section of the sky seemed to shimmer, and golden fish-dragons flew in formation, circling above. The mortals clapped, thinking it was some kind of performance, while the cultivators panicked, recognizing the immense spiritual energy emanating from the creatures.
"See?" Li-Yan Mei said, crossing her arms. "This is why we can't have normal outings."
Son-Wu San sighed, standing up. "Fine. I'll handle it."
He waved his hand casually, and the glowing fish-dragons vanished, their energy dissipating into the air. The cultivators watching from afar nearly fainted.
"Did you see that? He just erased celestial creatures as if they were nothing!"
"We're doomed. If they ever get angry, the entire realm is finished."
---
As the family regrouped to head home, the children chattered excitedly about their day. Xian Long tugged on his father's sleeve. "Father, can we visit the mountains tomorrow? I heard there are cool animals there!"
Son-Wu San chuckled. "We'll see. But next time, try not to accidentally create mythical beasts, okay?"
Xian Long grinned sheepishly. "I'll try."
Behind them, the cultivators watched with a mix of awe and dread as the family left.
"We need to warn the other sects," one whispered.
The others nodded in agreement. "And pray they never take a vacation near our headquarters."
---
The Son-Wu family returned home, blissfully unaware of the chaos they had caused once again. For them, it was just another "normal" day.
