19: The Beast Pirates' Information, Part 2

"The next group is the Flying Six. First up, Who's Who, age thirty-three, a non-Devil Fruit user but a master swordsman. He has repeatedly challenged Lord King and Lord Queen in the past. His strength is second only to the All-Stars, and his bounty stands at 620 million berries," Bailey began, her voice steady as she read from the files.

"Next, Sasaki, age twenty-nine, also a non-Devil Fruit user and a Fish-Man master swordsman. Like Who's Who, he has challenged Lord King and Lord Queen multiple times. Among the Flying Six, Who's Who and Sasaki are considered the strongest. Sasaki's bounty is 560 million berries."

Bailey continued, her voice unwavering. "Ulti, age seventeen, a user of the Ancient Zoan Pachycephalosaurus Fruit, with a bounty of 217 million berries."

"Page One, age fifteen, also an Ancient Zoan user, wielding the Spinosaurus Fruit. His bounty is 160 million berries."

"Lastly, Black Maria, age twenty-four, a non-Devil Fruit user with a bounty of 310 million berries."

Kaido listened intently, nodding slightly as Bailey spoke. He couldn't help but notice the disparity in the bounties among the Flying Six. The highest bounty reached over 600 million berries, while the lowest barely exceeded 100 million.

"The gap between their bounties is pretty large," Kaido remarked, his tone neutral.

Bailey acknowledged his observation but quickly moved on. "Now for the Berserkers—your personal direct subordinates, Governor Kaido. While you've mentioned them briefly to me before, the top four members—Azui, Yama, Silver Wolf, and Red Demon—all possess strength comparable to the Flying Six. In fact, Azui is rumored to be on par with the All-Stars in terms of power."

She giggled softly, her tone lighter. "But since the Berserkers are your secret force, Governor, I suppose you know more about them than I do."

Kaido resisted the urge to roll his eyes. Know more? I don't even recognize the names! He kept his face impassive but made a mental note. It seemed the Berserkers were a hidden ace, a group Kaido trusted implicitly. He'd have to make time to meet them personally and assess their capabilities.

"Continue with the rest," Kaido said curtly, keeping his thoughts to himself.

Bailey nodded and moved on to the next group. She began describing the Gifters, but Kaido paid more attention to the bounties and physical descriptions of the True Fighters. Taking the bounty posters from Bailey, he carefully studied each one.

Bailey eventually concluded, "That's about it, Governor. As for the Gifters, there's no need to delve too deeply. They're mostly small squad leaders with bounties in the tens of millions at most. Very few surpass 100 million."

"That's all?" Kaido asked, flipping through the files in his hand. Internally, he mused, So this is the structure of my officers? There are about a few dozen at most.

The Beast Pirates' leadership hierarchy became clearer in his mind. The All-Stars, the Flying Six, and the mysterious Berserkers made up the upper echelons. The True Fighters numbered around thirty, while the lower ranks—Gifters, Pleasures, and Waiters—constituted the vast majority.

Despite boasting a crew of tens of thousands, the number of true officers within the Beast Pirates was relatively small. Quality over quantity, Kaido thought, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.

In the world of pirates, few could rival the dominance of the Whitebeard Pirates. They boasted sixteen division commanders and forty-three allied pirate captains, making their collective strength surpass even that of the Beast Pirates. After all, this was the era where the Whitebeard Pirates reigned as the strongest crew, and Whitebeard himself was hailed as the strongest man alive.

"By the way, what are the bounties of Whitebeard's division commanders?" Kaido suddenly asked, curiosity piqued.

Bailey hesitated for a moment before replying, "The highest bounty belongs to Marco, the commander of the first division, reportedly exceeding 1.7 billion berries. Following him are Jozu, Thatch, and Vista, each with bounties over 1 billion."

Damn, that's insane! Kaido silently cursed, feeling a growing pressure. The strength of the Whitebeard Pirates was indeed formidable, with their top brass boasting astronomical bounties.

As Kaido mulled over this, Bailey suddenly brought up another point. "Oh, right! Lord Yamato's strength is also quite formidable—probably comparable to the Flying Six. After all, Lord Yamato has inherited your bloodline, Governor."

Yamato? Kaido's son? Kaido furrowed his brow slightly, trying to recall details about this character. Out loud, he casually asked, "Speaking of which, how old is Yamato now?"

Bailey answered promptly, "Lord Yamato? The same age as me—twenty-four."

Kaido leaned back, lost in thought. It seemed he had quite a list of people to meet. Perhaps he should prioritize meeting Yamato first? After all, this was supposed to be Kaido's son. Maybe Yamato could provide some valuable insight into his current situation.

No, that's too risky, Kaido quickly decided. If anyone could see through my act, it'd probably be my own son. Better not test those waters just yet.

Instead, Kaido shifted his focus. I should meet the Berserkers first. They're my direct subordinates, so their loyalty should be reliable enough.

"Alright, leave these things here," Kaido said, gesturing at the files and the leftovers on the table. "Have someone clean up the food. I'm going to sleep."

Bailey hesitated for a moment before asking, "Governor, are you not drinking tonight?"

Kaido waved dismissively. "Not tonight. I've decided to quit drinking for a while."

Bailey's surprise was evident, but she didn't question further. After tidying up the area, she left Kaido to his thoughts.

Once alone, Kaido collapsed onto his bed and closed his eyes. So exhausting. Forget it. No point overthinking this. I'll just take things one step at a time. Planning too far ahead is useless right now.

And with that, Kaido drifted off to sleep, letting the weight of the day's revelations slip away for a while.
