Chapter 10: new adventure

Mike felt the familiar stir of hunger in his stomach as he surveyed his surroundings. The thrill of the hunt was something he'd grown accustomed to, and he knew that it was time to get to work again. With his new Long Sight skill, he could spot potential prey from a distance, making his hunting trips faster and more efficient.

He activated the skill and scanned the area. His vision sharpened, and he spotted a small herd of creatures grazing in the distance. They looked like they might be a decent source of Evolution Points. A sly grin spread across his face as he took off in their direction, his tail whipping behind him in excitement.

As he sprinted, his body moved faster than ever before, thanks to his Quick Sprint ability. His legs powered through the terrain, and with each stride, he felt the wind rush against his face. The closer he got, the more his senses heightened. He could smell the faint scent of the creatures, feel the vibrations in the ground, and hear the soft rustle of leaves.

The herd hadn't noticed him yet, which gave him the perfect opportunity to strike. With a sudden burst of speed, Mike leapt from the bushes and charged into the clearing, his teeth bared. The creatures scattered in panic, but Mike was faster. He lunged at one of them and, with a swift Primitive Bite, brought it down in a single motion. His Hardening skill kicked in, giving him the defense he needed to withstand the brief resistance the creature put up.

After a brief struggle, the prey was down, and Mike felt the familiar rush of Evolution Points flowing into his system.

"Not bad," Mike muttered as he collected his prey. He couldn't wait to use his newly earned points to upgrade his abilities.

As he finished his hunt, he made his way to a secluded area to rest and heal. He activated Eternal Regeneration for a moment to speed up his recovery, which had been improved slightly due to his evolution. Then, he turned his attention to his system.

Mike accessed the shop again, eager to make another upgrade. He saw that his available points had increased, and after some careful thought, he decided to invest in more practical upgrades.

---

Skill: Endurance Boost (Price: 150 Evolution Points)

Description: Increases stamina, allowing for longer, more sustained activity.

---

Mike grinned and tapped to purchase the Endurance Boost. As soon as the transaction was complete, he felt a surge of energy. His body seemed to hum with vitality, and the familiar fatigue he sometimes felt during long hunts faded away.

---

Skill Purchased: Endurance Boost (Lv.1)

---

"Perfect," Mike said with a nod, already feeling the benefits of the upgrade. He took a deep breath, feeling his body already primed and ready for more.

---

As Mike scanned his updated status, something new caught his attention: a map icon had appeared on the interface. The system message flashed on the screen.

---

New Feature Unlocked: Map Available

Current Location: Uncharted Territory

Explore to discover new areas and opportunities.

Mike's eyes widened in curiosity. "A map? Now this is something new." He tapped the icon, and a holographic map unfolded in front of him. It showed an area filled with different terrains, ranging from forests and mountains to strange, unknown zones he hadn't yet explored.

He zoomed in, and the map detailed his current location with a marker. As he scrolled across, he noticed other markers—locations he hadn't yet visited. Some of them were marked with icons that made his heart race. Dangerous creatures, hidden meat, and ancient ruins—all waiting to be explored.

"This could be interesting," Mike mused, tapping a nearby location. "Let's see what lies ahead."

His excitement was palpable. With his new upgrades and the map now available, Mike knew that his journey was just beginning. The possibilities felt endless, and he couldn't wait to see where his next adventure would take him.
