Master of the Goblins

Hours had passed since they entered the Colosseum, battling against the goblins.

Ares continued to kill them, but they kept appearing without end. As the battle dragged on, the goblins grew stronger and tougher than he expected. Their levels ranged from 26 to 30, and they seemed to become more relentless with each wave.

Frustration built up within Ares as they appeared endlessly. His stamina began to drain, and his fatigue increased with every passing moment.

Ares started to breathe heavily, his body growing heavier with each movement. His strikes became slower and less powerful, his strength gradually fading as the endless battle continued.

But he kept slashing through them, moving swiftly from side to side and zigzagging to dodge their strikes.

He leaped into the air, aiming precisely as he descended, his blades piercing through their faces and slicing through their eyes, down to their bodies, cutting them in two.

"Damn, I'm starting to lose my stamina. If I don't end this soon, I might be the one who ends up dead," Ares mumbled, his words heavy with exhaustion as he kept fighting against them.

While Ares was busy fighting against the monsters, Sylphir grew worried about him. She quickly gave Ares a potion—a Vital Surge Elixir.

Ding!

Immediately, a bottle appeared in Ares's hand, and he was wiping sweat from his face.

"Thanks, Sylphir," Ares said, grateful for her help.

"Now, let's continue what we started," Ares whispers, gripping his two daggers tightly as he gazes at them with piercing eyes.

He quickly dashed toward them again, mercilessly killing them one by one.

Magnus's eyes widened, a chill running down his spine as he watched Ares fight.

"Brother is getting stronger and stronger with each fight. Feels invincible, like he could continue fighting like this all day," Magnus thought, his eyes gleaming with admiration.

Some of Ares's moves were too fast for him to follow. Like a phantom skill that made him vanish in the middle of battle, only to reappear in front of his enemies, catching them off guard. Each of Ares's attacks was precise—one slash and a goblin went down.

"Damn, they're tough, and it's harder to take them down. I need two hits to finish them off," Ares muttered, his daggers dripping with green fluid as he slashed through them.

"So this is the elemental effect," Ares thought.

This was just the first floor, yet he was already struggling against them.

Struggling against the goblins, Ares grew frustrated with each swing of his daggers. Then, Sylphir's voice broke through his concentration.

"Hey, don't slash them like that. They have a weakness."

"What? Do they have a weakness? Really?" Ares asked, dumbfounded.

"Yes, and yet you didn't know about it. It's exhausting watching you struggle like this,"

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

"Use your Frostbear Claw against them. Since you killed that monster inside this dungeon, its dropped item is just as strong as it was. You can slash through these goblins easily with that. But remember, its effect only works inside the elemental dungeon."

"I see," Ares smirks, his eyes burning with excitement. He quickly replaces one of his daggers with the Frostbear Claw, gripping it tightly.

"Let's see how this works," he muttered, his voice filled with excitement.

Dashing toward the goblins once more, he swung the Frostbear Claw with precision. To his surprise, the once tough bodies of the goblins now felt as soft as meat being sliced.

Thanks to Slyphir's guidance, Ares accurately killed each goblin, even though they were buffed by the dungeon's elemental power.

As Ares remembered, he used his Frostbear Claw earlier on the Behemoth, defeating it with just one hit.

"So that's it," Ares grinned.

Ares's movements became more fluid, his strikes precise and lethal. He dodged their attacks with ease, countering each one with a devastating attack.

The goblins' numbers decrease rapidly, their confident expressions turning to fear as they realize they are no match for him.

After a few minutes pass, only three goblins remain as Ares gazes at them.

"Now, let's end this fight," Ares murmured as he quickly dashed toward them, slashing each of their heads. Their blood scatters through the air like a shower.

Slash! Slash! Slash!

After the long battle, he finally ends it, and a screen appears before him.

[Congratulations on killing them all! You have leveled up!]

"Finally, it's over," Ares sighs, feeling a little relieved after the battle. He wipes the sweat dripping down his face, but before he can relax, he senses someone stronger approaching. A powerful killing intent radiates just two meters away from him.

The aura is intense, unlike the goblins he faced earlier. This is different. As the presence gets closer, Ares grows anxious.

Suddenly, a system message appears:

[Baruka's Goblin Level 35]

Ares's eyes widened as he saw the creature before him. Its presence was overwhelming, radiating a powerful aura that made the air feel heavy.

"Could this be...!?" Sylphir's thoughts race, puzzling together the creature's identity. It isn't just any monster, and this has never happened before. This is something far more dangerous. Sylphir never expected it to appear on the first floor.

This is the guardian of the Elemental Dungeon's first floor.

Ares grips his Frostbear Claw tightly, but before Sylphir can explain the details about it,

"Hey, Ares, be carefu—"

Before she can finish her sentence, Barukas suddenly dashes toward Ares. He barely deflects the attack, their daggers clashing with a sharp, metallic sound.

Ares clenches his teeth as he holds his ground. He swings his dagger with his other hand, but Barukas quickly backs off, dodging the attack.

"Damn it, his speed is on another level," Ares muttered.

[You, human, seem different from the others. Why not become one of us, and we'll kill that human behind you,]

Barukas says, gazing at Magnus, who stands behind Ares.

Magnus's body trembles in fear. Even though he can't understand what the monster is saying, his instincts tell him that he is the one being targeted, Magnus swallowed his saliva in anxiety.
