After Ares delivered a fatal blow to the titan, the titan became enraged.
The titan's blue face was a frozen monument of wrath, covered in slashes from Ares after his helmet was shattered.
His eyes, like twin glaciers, burned with an eerie ancient light. Cracks ran across his frostbitten visage, and his once-cold blue complexion turned red with fury toward Ares.
"That bastard human! What the hell kind of dirty trick did he pull to make the surroundings so blindingly bright?" the titan cursed, his body trembling with rage after what Ares had done to him.
The titan, who had once remained calm and steady, was now struggling to breathe after receiving Ares' deadly attack. With just one strike, his armor had nearly shattered into pieces like glass. Luckily, he had managed to dodge the full force of the blow. Gritting his teeth in anger, his head burned like boiling water rising to 100 degrees.
"Damn... damn you! A lowly human like you has no chance of defeating me with that. I will never lower my guard again!"
"I need to come up with another plan," the titan muttered as he gazed at Ares, cursing him. He stood in the upper corner of the floor, his mind racing for a new strategy.
"Yeah, I get it now. I've received an effect that can repair my armor. Once it's done, I'll finish off that bastard's face. But for now, I need to buy some time," the titan muttered.
Meanwhile, Sylphir, who was guiding Ares, had a fascinating idea in her mind.
"Hey, human! That bastard who pulled away from you is just stalling for time. He's waiting for his armor to regenerate, and once he's fully recovered, he'll finish you off!"
Hearing this, Ares' eyes widened. He couldn't let that happen. Without wasting a second, he immediately summoned his shadow to chase after the titan, refusing to give him any time to recover.
As the titan sensed the approaching shadow, his skin trembled as if he had encountered something eerily familiar from long ago.
"It... can't be!" the titan gasped, his eyes widening as if they were about to pop out of their sockets.
"Wait, you... you really didn't listen to me, you human!" Sylphir exclaimed.
Then, one after another, Ares' summons chased after the Titan, not giving him a moment to rest. While the Titan was deep in thought, Ares' shadow summons leaped at him, aiming to slice him in two. However, the Titan reacted immediately, managing to dodge the attack and swiftly kill the summon.
After slicing through Ares' shadow, the Titan was surprised at how easily he cut it down.
"What? This can't be…" the Titan muttered, realizing that this was not the true power of the shadow.
As he puzzled over his thoughts, he began zigzagging and running along the ceiling to evade the incoming attacks. Meanwhile, his armor slowly started to regenerate.
"Damn, this lowly summon... Even if I regenerate, it will exhaust me in the long run. And even if my armor recovers, my stamina will still be drained… but—"
The Titan's gaze shifted to Magnus, his eyes shimmering with a murderous glint. He knew that if he devoured the body of a human, his strength would instantly recover within seconds, granting him additional power. Not only that, but his current strength would double immediately.
Suddenly, the Titan tumbled to the ground and started laughing in front of Ares.
Meanwhile, Ares stood dumbfounded, completely clueless as to why the Titan was laughing. Was he conceding? Surrendering his life?
"What the hell are you laughing at?" Ares asked, narrowing his eyes.
"Well, well, well… You know, human, if you hand over that one behind you, I'll give you exactly what you need," the Titan said, his eyes filled with pure bloodlust.
Ares scoffed. He could tell the Titan was lying just by the expression on his face.
"Oh, really? You think you can trick me?" Ares grinned, gripping his weapon tighter, ready to slice the Titan apart.
"Wait!" Sylphir suddenly called out.
Ares suddenly stopped and narrowed his eyes. "What is it now?" Ares asked, still keeping his guard up.
"I have an idea that, once he falls for it, will lead to his death."
"What? What the hell kind of plan is that?" Ares narrowed his eyes.
"Just trust me on this," Sylphir said.
Then, after a moment, Sylphir whispered to him. Ares' eyes widened.
"Wa-what? Are you out of your mind? Why him?" Ares said, staring at Magnus nervously.
Ares swallowed his saliva, doubting whether Magnus would truly be safe in this plan or not.
Sylphir's plan was a suicide mission for Magnus, filled with pure danger. She wanted Magnus to be used as bait. Her strategy was for Ares to make an agreement with the Titan and make him believe it. The deal would be that Magnus would fight the Titan, and if the Titan won, he could freely devour Magnus as much as he wanted.
But there was something more to it—once they lured the Titan into this plan, Sylphir's real trick would come into play. The key part of the plan was that once Magnus was taken down and could no longer fight, the Titan would believe he had beaten Magnus to a pulp. At that moment, Ares would manipulate the battle and use the teleportation artifact he had obtained before entering this room to instantly strike the Titan head down.
Since the Titan species was known for their speed, they had to act quickly before the Titan fully recovered his armor. Sylphir wanted entertainment, which was why she devised this plan.
However, this was a one-time chance. If it failed, all of Magnus's sacrifice would be in vain.
Ares immediately called out to Magnus behind him. "Magnus, come here!"
Quickly, Magnus rushed over to Ares, holding his spear. "What is it, Brother Ares?" His eyes shimmered as he neared Ares.
"I have a plan, and only you can pull it off," Ares said, his voice low and urgent.
"Listen, Magnus, I know this is dangerous, and if you feel you can't do it, just say so, okay?"
Magnus nodded, feeling anxious at the same time.
"Listen, Magnus, the Titan has been craving you since we got here, and here's the plan, we will bait him using you."
After hearing this, Magnus was stunned. Ares knew that Magnus might struggle with the idea, but he didn't expect what Magnus would say in response.
