Crimson Nights

The mansion was quiet, the air heavy with an intimacy that only the dark could bring. Ere'ana and the auburn-haired woman were tangled together on the silk sheets of Ere'ana's bed. The woman's laughter had long since turned into breathless gasps, her body arching under Ere'ana's touch.

Ere'ana's pale fingers traced the woman's neck, her lips brushing against her skin. The woman shivered, completely lost in the vampire's embrace, unaware that she was being toyed with by a predator.

"You're incredible," the woman whispered, her voice trembling with both passion and exhaustion.

Ere'ana smirked, her dark eyes glittering. "I know."

Her lips moved lower, pressing against the woman's throat. The woman let out a soft sigh, her body relaxing beneath Ere'ana. But then Ere'ana's fangs extended, glinting in the dim light as she sank them into the woman's neck.

The woman gasped, her hands clutching at Ere'ana's back. Her pulse raced against Ere'ana's lips, the warm, metallic taste of her blood flooding the vampire's senses. Ere'ana drank deeply, savoring the woman's essence with the same passion she had moments before.

When the woman finally went limp, her blood drained, Ere'ana gently laid her back against the bed, brushing a strand of hair from her lifeless face. "You were delicious," she murmured, her voice soft and satisfied.

But as she turned to leave the room, she froze. Kikidori was standing in the doorway, leaning against the frame with a sour expression on his face.

"How long have you been standing there?" Ere'ana asked, her tone flat.

"Long enough," Kikidori replied, his voice tinged with irritation. "You really know how to put on a show, don't you?"

Ere'ana rolled her eyes, walking past him into the hallway. "Don't start with me, Kikidori."

"I'm not starting anything," he said, following her. "I'm just saying… you seem to enjoy biting everyone *but me*."

She stopped abruptly, turning to face him with a raised brow. "Are you seriously jealous right now?"

Kikidori crossed his arms, his jaw tightening. "I mean… a little, yeah."

Ere'ana sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "You're impossible."

"Look," he said, stepping closer, his tone softening. "You and I… we're partners. We've been together for two centuries, Ere'ana. Don't you think it's a little weird that you've never once bitten me?"

She stared at him, her expression unreadable. "You know as well as I do that biting another vampire isn't the same as biting a human. It's… intimate."

"Exactly," Kikidori said, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. "And yet, you'll get intimate with every random human you meet, but not me."

Ere'ana sighed again, her resolve weakening. "You're such a child sometimes."

"And you're avoiding the question," Kikidori shot back.

They stood there in silence for a moment, the tension between them thick. Finally, Ere'ana rolled her eyes and stepped closer to him.

"Fine," she said, her voice low. "If it'll shut you up."

Kikidori's smirk widened, but it faltered slightly as Ere'ana placed a hand on his chest, pushing him gently against the wall. Her dark eyes locked onto his, and for the first time in a long time, Kikidori felt a flicker of nervousness.

Ere'ana leaned in, her lips brushing against his neck. He could feel her breath, cool and steady, sending a shiver down his spine. Her fingers traced the curve of his jaw as her fangs extended, grazing his skin.

"This is what you wanted, isn't it?" she murmured, her voice almost mocking.

Before he could respond, her fangs sank into his neck. The sensation was sharp but not painful, a strange mix of pleasure and vulnerability that sent a wave of heat through him. Kikidori let out a low groan, his hands gripping her waist as she drank from him.

Unlike with her human victims, Ere'ana didn't drain him completely. She pulled back after a moment, her lips stained with his blood. Kikidori's eyes were half-lidded, his breathing uneven as he stared at her.

"Happy now?" she asked, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.

Kikidori chuckled softly, his voice hoarse. "Yeah… I think I could get used to that."

Ere'ana rolled her eyes, stepping back. "You're ridiculous."

"And you're incredible," Kikidori said, his smirk returning.

As they stood there, the tension between them began to shift. For the first time in years, Kikidori felt closer to Ere'ana, as though the walls she'd built around herself had finally cracked, if only slightly.

"Let's clean up," she said, turning toward the bedroom. "We've made enough of a mess for one night."

Kikidori followed her, a satisfied grin on his face. "Whatever you say, boss."
