The moons blessing

Archers pov.

She is so excited to be outdoors smiling so beautifully. Her eyes sparkle at the flowers she truly loves nature. Her scent suits her perfectly roses and raspberries with a hint of the forest, sweet like the sweet girl she is. The lake has it's soft glow as normal as she enters the water but it seems to be glowing brighter as the moons show themselves I gasp as the brightness keeps getting stronger.

" two moons how" she whispers.

what does she mean by that and why is she scared now. Oh shit the lake is fully glowing and she's moving further in to it but I can't seem to be able to move.

" you need to get back here it's dangerous" I yell at her.

" I'm not doing this I don't know what is happening. Help me" she cries out to me I can feel her fear choking me.

" brother get the head priest here Rose is being dragged into the lake by the lake it's glowing so bright I can't even see her anymore and for some reason I can't move" I yell thru the mindlink.

" were on our way know don't worry she will be okay. I know what is happening and will explain when we get there. Once the glowing stops you will be able to go in and get her she may pass out because of the mana flow" he tells me calmly but I can tell he is just as panicky as I am.

After what felt like hours the glow calms down to its normal level and my feet move on there own. I dive into the water calling her name. I find her floating in the centre of the lake. She should have sunk into the lake but it's like it's holding her up for me the moment my arms reach her she starts to sink. I take her out of the lake just as we reach the edge Blake arrives with the priest and harvesting family's.

" wake up Rose please wake up sweet girl" I yell panic filling me.

" she is okay look she is still breathing just sleeping" the priest tells me I rest my hand on her heart it's still beating. I release my breath and let the rhythm calm my beast I take in her scent.

" tell me what you know about what that was" I demand quietly not to wake her up.

" she has been blessed by the moon goddess. It has been hundreds of years since the last one" says the priest bowing down to us.

" what does that mean for her" I ask panic filling me.

" well I don't know exactly it will depend on what she was told by the goddess but I don't think we will be able to find out. But one thing I can tell you is that she will have magic how bright did the lake glow" he asks me.

" very I couldn't see her to the point of barley being able to look at the lake" I tell him as I look down at her. I brush her hair out of her face making me notice the top of a mark where my hand was on her heart. I move the fabric of her dress and notice two crescent moons surrounded by vines and flowers.

" oh by the goddess she is not a chosen one but a daughter of the goddess. How and where did this girl come from" the priest panics.

" that's a good question we found her in the forest nearly dead. It looked like she had been kept captive for many years and abused. She barely speaks only when something is overwhelming and even then it's maybe a word or two. Like when the moons came out from behind the clouds she said (Two moons how) that's when it all started " I tell him.

" there is a chance she wasn't raised in this world then if that shocked her. She would have been brought home to her mother when she died. If you hadn't found her when you did she would have died a second death here and her mother would have punished us for failing her. We must protect this girl with everything we have. She will also need the strength of her mates no matter what no man can violate this girl. The evil of this world must not touch her it is obvious that the world that was trusted to raise her failed and probably doesn't exist anymore or will be cursed, just like our own was long ago " he says looking up to the moons.

" what do you mean by that cursed" I ask him

" long ago we had a goddesses chosen back when we only had one mate as a pair one male one female. But her mate betrayed her by taking other females. She eventually died because of the rebound of the mating marks. That Alpha lived because he was stronger than her by the end. No stopped him and no one helped her. The Goddess was so enraged by the actions of her children females started to die and the birth rate for females started to drop. The mate marks also changed men could no longer mark their females only the female could mark the male's. Then we found out females could take more than one mate but you already know that part. Most people have forgotten how we got here and why only the temples and immortals are left to know the truth. We should get her inside she will be freezing and will probably need to rest for a few days. She has taken in a lot of mana to jump start her own magical core. I will need to inform the high temple and the Alpha kings directly to make sure no one finds out she is here. Yous keep her safe and find some more mates for her never let her be alone and don't tell her any of this yet it will be to much for her. She needs to learn bit by bit I will check on her tomorrow before I leave " he says bowing then leaves.

" Damn sweet girl I new you were special but this may be beyond us but I swear I will do anything and everything to protect you even if you were just a normal werewolf " I say pulling her tightly to my chest as we head home.
