Meeting the parents (part 3)

Archer's pov.

She's freaking out with all the men staring at her I'm so glad she can't here what they are talking about but I know she's picking up on the lust in there eyes. I help her the best I can do they will know now that she is ours now we are not hiding our marks. I can see them looking only at her but a few are watching us so they are the ones the females have sent in as spies.

" Red take note on the spies and keep an eye on them" I say thru the link he grunts back.

Spotting my family at the front we walk over to them Rose seems to be in her own world struggling with everything going on around her.

" is she okay" mom asks looking at Rose with worried eyes.

" yeah just to many people for her she's not really comfortable with people yet but the fact she is here and not ran or panic attack is a big step even in the market she was panicking the hole time" Blake tells them with a sad smile on his face as we look down at our mate.

She's so focused on the God's once it's time for her to step up I let go of her hand but she instantly starts to panic. I give her a nod to move forward placing my hand on her shoulder I walk with her the priest telling me to let go of her which I know. I release her and step back into place as she place's her hand on the crystal. It lights up brighter than the sun shocking all of us and one after another the crystals in the background started to glow brighter. She has the blessing of the goddess and all four of her husbands. Then the crystals of the other God's start to glow at different stages but the one that screams fear is the one large stone in the centre of the ceiling glowing black and gold.. The father of the God's has blessed her there has never been a blessing from him not that anyone has known of. Her other hand moves like she has something in her hand then a large egg appears it looks way to heavy for her to carry but it balances perfectly.

" she has received gifts from the God's just who is she" someone behind us whispers.

" this is going to be bad males will go mad for her power when it gets out" my father links us.

" I know but what can we do we need allies in protection for her" I tell him in link

" I will see what I can do we will need the help from everyone we can get but you know they will try to push her into being mates and you can't interfere with it to much" he says giving us a strong look we just nods.

" this is taking longer than normal" Blake says to the priest.

" she is talking to God's this happens sometimes but mostly with us priests" he says as the crystals start to fade.

I move forward as her hand starts to wobble with the weight of the egg catching it just as it's about to fall. She turns to us in shock looking at the egg then back to us. Then there is a flash of anger and betrayal in her emotions and eyes.

" husbands" she tells us

" husbands" I ask her

" oh yeah Mates are husbands" she grits out with angry eyes shocking us.

Shit she knows they told her well were fucked.

" we are but we are....." Blake tries to say but father stops him.

" this isn't the best place to have this conversation dear but I promise the boys will explain everything" he says stepping forward she let's out a sigh.

" I know they told me but they shouldn't have had to" she whispered looking down a sudden cheer of the crowd startles her Blake quickly picked her up as I cradle her egg.

" enough the ceremony is over with you she will be returning home as this has taken a lot out of her" father announces clearing the crowd.

" I have to go to the capital tomorrow to report this to the head priest keep her safe and guards from the temple will be sent to help protect the pack" the priest tells us as he looks at the egg and Rose.

I don't think tonight is going to be an easy one looking at Rose as she hides her face in Blakes neck and I can tell she is pissed even without being able to feel it they will to. We walk out as everyone stares at her even more calculation in there eyes on how to get our girl. Never never will we ever let anyone who is not worthy near her we aren't even worthy letting out a warning growl as we push past. Father stays back with the nobles no doubt they are trying to push there sons on her to.

" she is to weak at the moment we need to start teaching and training her as soon as possible. I'm worried she might end up getting pushed in to accepting the wrong males and we won't be able to stop it." Blake mind links us as he stokes her hair trying to calm her and himself.

" I agree with him we should start tomorrow " Zane says.

" what is agreed " Rose asks but not moving.

" that you need to train your strength and learn about the way this world works other males are going to be trying to get you to accept them as mates and they might try to force you to have pups with them. We made an oath to not touch you without your permission even if that means only having half of the bond for the rest of our lifes and no pups we are happy with that. We new before you marked us that you may never want us fully and that is okay with us we just wanted to protect you " I tell her she humms and I can feel her anger and feelings of betrayal fading away she relaxes into Blakes hold.

" so anyone else wondering what is in the egg" Zak asks coming to look as it.

" not a clue but it's heavy whatever it is it's going to be big" I tell them it's a beautiful red with orange and gold patterns all over it. It's so big i need two hands to hold it just how the hell she managed to balance it on one hand was amazing to see.
