How to Summon an Army

Jagu's growl got louder. Ash stroked his head, but his growling didn't stop.

Finally, he used the power of The Heart of The Jaguar to command Jagu to be quiet.

Jagu yelped softly and lay down next to Ash's feet, but his eyes still stared at the cave entrance.

His whining made Ash even more confused, Was he the same species as cats, or dogs?

Shaking his head, Ash returned to the problem at hand.

Now that he had Jagu, he was confident he could defeat the Giant Spider, but he needed to know its shape and size first.

He whispered to Maya, "We have to hide now."

With a pale face, Maya nodded.

They walked towards a stalagmite in the farthest corner of the cave and extinguished their torches.

Not long after, they saw an eight-legged creature entering the large cave room.

Its body was very large, with fine hair covering it. Its legs had spikes, and its eyes glowed black, the same color as its body and legs.

The spider walked silently past Ash, Maya, and Jagu. They could see its mouth opening and closing as it walked.

As it passed them, Ash estimated the size of the spider. Its body was approximately eight meters in diameter, making the length of its body and head about twelve meters.

The spider entered the middle cave and did not come out again.

Turning his head, Ash whispered to Maya, "Do you now feel that the item is inside the big spider's body?"

Maya nodded.

Ash then thought hard about what he could do to kill the spider and retrieved the quest item.

What are spiders afraid of? Fire, of course. But what kind of fire could burn such a big spider?

"We have to get out of this place first," Ash whispered again.

They walked quietly towards the exit of the cave.

Arriving outside the cave, they immediately returned to the cave they had previously used to rest.

"Haaaa..." Maya sat leaning against the cave wall, taking a deep breath.

"That was f*cking crazy…," she said.

Ash didn't answer and sat in front of the extinguished campfire, picking at the coals with a serious expression.

Maya remained silent and looked outside the cave while stroking Jagu, who was lying next to her. Jagu snored and closed his eyes.

'Big fire... I need some kind of gasoline...' Ash thought. He called up his Inventory to see if if he had a jerry can or something that could hold gasoline.

"Oh, sh*t. I don't have any of those," he muttered.

He turned to Maya who was dozing off, "Maya, do you have anything that can be used to hold gasoline? We're going to get petrol from the jeep," he asked.

Maya glanced, then called up her Inventory. Not long after, she took out an empty gallon and a hose.

"Here," she said as she handed them to Ash.

Ash's face lit up. He took the gallon and hose out of the cave, saying, "Wait here."

Maya didn't answer and continued lazing around.

Not long after, Ash returned with a gallon filled with gasoline from the jeep.

Then he sat back down, thinking about his plan to retrieve the Magic Ring from 'inside the spider'.

After lunch, he decided to monitor the movements of the Giant Spider. He felt stupid for acting without a plan.

He told Maya to stay in this cave, and he would investigate the situation in the spider nest, while the Giant Spider went out to find food.

After lunch, they stayed in the cave. Maya slept while Ash continued to read The Captain's Diary. He hadn't read it in days.

He passed by pages that only contained the outpourings of Jonathan Smith, The Captain.

Day three hundred and twenty-two.

I remembered what John once told me, the story about one of his enemy's power

They stumbled upon a person who was wandering alone.

Or at least, that's what John thought.

According to John, the person's name was Maynard. He is a Robber.

However, unlike other Robbers who team up with other humans, he does so with an army of creatures in the game.

Lions, knights, dinosaurs, and many more.

At first, I didn't believe it, but John's men who survived also witnessed it.

The person keeps his team in a book, and opens it when he is about to take it out. The same goes for putting them back.

None of John's men could face him head-on.

But he had an assassin who had reached level 50.

He easily killed Maynard and took his book.

The name of the book is The Supreme Magus' Grimoire.

Ash brought the diary closer to his eyes and glared at it.

He repeated the words that had the title of the book he had.

The name of the book is The Supreme Magus' Grimoire.

'What the f...' he muttered. What a coincidence, quests can be related to each other.

But unfortunately for John, a Theft stole the grimoire from him.

And until now, it still hasn't been found.

He quickly opened his Inventory, and took out the grimoire.

He opened the grimoire carefully, and looked for pages related to summoning the creatures.

And he found it!

Binding of the Ethereal (to bind the soul and body in the page.)

Wrath of the Bound (to attack enemies with your summoned creatures.)

His eyes were shining. With enthusiasm, he began to study these two spells.

What he regretted a little was that he didn't invest points into his magic stat from the start, because both of these skills require quite a lot of magic points.

He opened his Status, and allocated the points he got from The Heart of The Jaguar item into his magic stat, so that his stat increased to thirty-five.

Ash and Maya leaned their bodies against the cave wall, next to each other, when the Giant Spider came out of its nest.
