Coco ripped the crocodile's tough hide piece by piece, ripping it like it was just a single sheet of thin paper.
She kept her back to the little boy the entire time, making sure that her eyes were focused on the monster before her and just taking all the tough hide off the meat under it.
However, even if she was adamantly ignoring the child's presence, he was stubborn.
"This is the first time I saw a monster like that this close! What do you call that monster, miss?" The little boy asked, his eyes wide in wonder as he stared at the way Coco's hands tightened on the tail before ripping off the armor.
Coco didn't answer him and continued to do what she needed to do, her hands working wonders.
"You know, the meat you bought to Chief Salamandara yesterday tasted so good! Then, I found out from the old woman by the next door that you caught them just yesterday, too! Are all your catches fresh?" The child asked once more, changing the question.
