Chapter 4

Harry eagerly picked up the newly forged smartphone, admiring its sleek design. With anticipation, he pressed the power button—

Nothing happened.

He frowned, pressing it again. Still, the screen remained black.

X's voice chimed in, amused, "You do realize it needs electricity to function, right?"

Harry coughed, trying to cover up his mistake. "Of course! I was just... checking if the phone was properly forged."

X hummed, unconvinced. "So, how do you plan to tackle the electricity issue?"

Harry scratched his head. "That's simple. X, transfer all the knowledge about solar panels and battery storage to me."

Within moments, detailed schematics and energy flow principles filled his mind. Without wasting time, he pulled out a fresh scroll and started sketching. He meticulously drew a compact solar panel, efficient yet small enough to fit inside a portable device. Next, he designed a high-capacity power bank that could store and distribute energy, complete with a socket for the charger.

An hour later, as the runes on the scroll glowed and faded, the final product materialized before him—a sleek, portable solar panel linked to a power bank with multiple charging ports.

After finishing the portable solar panels and power bank, Harry left his room and headed straight to Lily's. Without a word, he grabbed her hand and started pulling her along.

"Harry! Why are you dragging me from my room?" Lily protested.

"You'll see," Harry said, brushing off her complaints.

Once they reached his room, Harry picked up the portable solar panels and turned to her. "Pick up the power bank."

Lily eyed the strange box in confusion. "Why should I?"

Harry smirked. "Because if you do, I'll show you something even better than magic."

Lily frowned, unconvinced, but curiosity won over. She sighed and picked up the power bank, following him as they made their way outside the mansion.

As they walked through the halls, a few servants noticed the odd devices in their hands. One of the maids hesitantly approached. "Young master, what are you carrying?"

Harry grinned. "Something I forged. I'm going to test it outside."

Hearing this, the maids gasped, their eyes wide with disbelief. Forged? The young master had crafted something? Without any training? It was unheard of! Without wasting a second, they rushed off to inform Madam Frigga.

By the time Harry and Lily stepped into the sunlit courtyard, his mother, Frigga, had already arrived, accompanied by his father, Lor, and their butler.

Frigga frowned as she approached them. "Harry, Lily, what are you two doing out in the sun? And what are those strange objects?"

Lily shrugged. "I have no idea. Harry dragged me out here, saying he'd show me something better than magic."

Frigga turned her questioning gaze to Harry. "Harry, what exactly are those things?"

Harry smirked. "They're something I forged using the Blackstone pen."

Silence.

Lor and Frigga exchanged shocked looks.

"Forged? By yourself?" Lor asked, his voice laced with disbelief. "Harry, that's impossible. The Blackstone pen requires precise knowledge. Without it, you can't just create complex objects."

Harry knew he had to answer carefully. If he told them the full truth, they might ask too many questions. So, he shrugged and said, "I don't know, Dad. Ever since my awakening, knowledge just started coming to me naturally."

Frigga's eyes widened slightly. "A skill?"

Lor folded his arms. "That would explain it."

Harry blinked. A skill? What the hell are they talking about?

Sensing his confusion, he asked, "What do you mean by skill, Mother?"

Frigga smiled softly. "Some people develop unique abilities over their lifetime, known as skills. They're rare, and they can manifest at any moment. Some of the strongest warriors and scholars possess them, though many choose to keep them hidden."

Harry nodded, inwardly relieved. Well, if that explanation keeps them from asking too many questions, I'll take it.

Just then, his smartphone—resting beside the power bank—began to glow faintly. The screen flickered to life.

Harry quickly picked it up, watching as the boot sequence ran.

Frigga, Lor, and Lily leaned in, their eyes fixed on the strange, glowing device.

"Harry, what is that?" Lor asked, his voice filled with curiosity.

Harry smiled proudly. "This is a smartphone. With it, I can Draw people or anything instantly—something I call photos. In the future, if two people own a smartphone, they'll be able to communicate no matter how far apart they are. For now, it can't do that yet, but it's a start."

Lily's eyes sparkled with fascination. "You mean… it can draw people in an instant? Without using magic?"

Harry nodded. "Exactly."

Harry smirked at their skeptical expressions. "You don't believe me, do you? Let me show you."

He tapped on the smartphone screen, opening the camera app. With a quick press of the button, the device captured a photo. Turning the screen toward them, he revealed an image of Lor, Frigga, and Lily, exactly as they stood.

The three of them stared, completely baffled.

Lily gasped. "Magic!"

Harry shook his head. "No, it's not magic. It's science. No mana was used to take this picture."

Frigga and Lor exchanged glances. "Science?" Lor echoed.

Harry nodded. "Yes. This device doesn't rely on mana at all. In fact, it can even be created without using the Blackstone Pen—but doing it that way would take years."

Lor and Frigga's eyes widened in shock, though they quickly composed themselves.

Frigga glanced at the screen again. "It shows our faces, just like when we use crystal balls for communication."

Harry grinned. "Exactly. And if given time, I can make my smartphone do that too."

Frigga narrowed her eyes slightly. "Harry, do you realize what you're saying? The crystal ball took scholars decades of research to perfect."

Harry met her gaze confidently. "If I say I can make it, then I can make it."

Lily's eyes sparkled with excitement as she clasped her hands together. "Harry! I want one too!"

Harry glanced at her, amused. She looked like a child who had just found a new toy and wouldn't take no for an answer. Thinking himself a good older brother, he nodded. "Alright, I'll make one for you later."

Before he could say anything else, Frigga turned to Lor. "Lor, we should have one too. Make them for us as well."

Harry smirked. "Fine, I'll make them. But in return, I need your help with something."

Lor and Frigga exchanged glances before looking back at him. "What is it that you want, Harry?" Frigga asked. "Just name it. We can buy you anything—you know we are one of the richest families in the country, even if we are a new one."

Harry waved a hand dismissively. "Oh, it's nothing like that. I just need some people to help me decorate the entire mansion with something I'm going to create."

Lor hesitated. The idea of an eleven-year-old making large-scale modifications to their home unsettled him. But before he could object, Frigga spoke up.

"If you want to make something, you can do it," she said gently. "But promise me you won't do anything dangerous."

Lor sighed, realizing there was no stopping them now. "Fine. You can have help from the servants, but make sure whatever you're planning isn't reckless."

Harry nodded confidently. "Don't worry, Mom, Dad—I know exactly what I'm doing."
