Don't Fail Too Quickly [Bonus Chapter]

The Penny Prince lounged in his lavish quarters, an elegantly dressed nobleman seated across from him, speaking in the usual manner of inner Albion nobility that just made him want to punch them in the face.

This was one of the reasons why he didn't like using his palace quarters so much. His presence there was like an invitation for people to visit him for no reason other than trying to gauge where he stood.

Some came to see if they could use him for their own ends while others came to spy on him for his older siblings. If only they knew what he was planning. 

Fortunately, the current conversation was inconsequential, a matter of minor noble politics, one of the many masks he wore as a prince. 

He played the part well, nodding along, making witty remarks that entertained, but in truth, his mind was elsewhere.

A knock at the door interrupted the conversation.
