A Guard For Eleanor

The moment Eleanor stepped beyond the imposing gates, a soft voice called out to her.

"Over here, my lady!" Tina waved excitedly, her voice barely above a whisper. Behind her, a wooden carriage stood parked, blending in with the other rental carriages available for hire.

The guards stationed around the gate cast quick glances at Eleanor. Their scrutinizing eyes briefly assessed whether this hooded figure in white posed a threat or was just another passerby. Eleanor made sure to keep her movements natural, and her demeanor calm, to avoid drawing undue attention.

I'm just an ordinary citizen passing by...!

She noticed, however, that alongside the commoner guards, several elite knights from House Gwendolyn, clad in their distinct red uniforms, were stationed at the post near the entrance to the General District. The knights and guards conversed casually, taking turns keeping watch over the massive gate.
