Ankhush completely reads Chapter 1 of the novel.
As he turns the last page, a shiver runs down his spine. Fear grips him, and he gets goosebumps. Something about the story feels unsettlingly real.
Despite his unease, he moves on to Chapter 2.
Inside the novel, the scene unfolds:
Nezumi's mother enters the school building and walks toward the staff room. Stopping in front of the door, she takes a deep breath before knocking.
Nezumi's Mom: "May I come in?"
The teacher, who was in the middle of packing her belongings, sighs internally.
Teacher (thinking): Who is it this time? I bet it's Nezumi's mom again…
Teacher: "Yes, you can come in."
Nezumi's mom steps inside, offering a polite smile.
Nezumi's Mom: "Hi."
Teacher: "Please, have a seat."
Nezumi's mother sits across from the teacher, her hands resting on her lap. The teacher wastes no time.
Teacher: "Nezumi was caught using her phone in the middle of class again."
Nezumi's mother sighs and nods.
Nezumi's Mom: "Yes, I am aware of this. I apologize on her behalf."
The teacher frowns.
Teacher: "Why are you apologizing? You don't have to. It's your daughter who should take responsibility. You should teach her a lesson when you get home. Honestly, she's a bit too manly—picking fights with boys like that. Anyway, I should get going; my shift is over, and I don't want to be home late."
Nezumi's mother stands up.
Nezumi's Mom: "I'm sorry for bothering you. I will make sure she learns her lesson."
The teacher starts gathering her things.
Teacher (while standing): "Bye, I should be going. Oh, wait—I almost forgot."
She rummages through her bag and pulls out a phone, handing it to Nezumi's mother.
Teacher: "Here. This belongs to Nezumi."
Nezumi's mother takes the Nezumi's phone.
Nezumi's Mom: "I will make sure she doesn't do this again."
She walks to the door, opens it, and turns back one last time.
Nezumi's Mom: "Goodbye."
She exits the building and heads toward her car. But before she can reach it, an unknown man suddenly appears from the shadows. Before she can react, he grabs her and covers her mouth with a cloth.
Her Desperate struggles was of no use.
Darkness consumes her.
Nezumi's mother wakes up, bound with ropes in a dimly litin a abandoned building. The kidnapper stands nearby, smirking.
Suddenly, Kokoro—who happened to be passing by—hears muffled noises. Curious, she peeks inside through a crack in the door.
Her eyes widen in horror.
Wasting no time, she dials the police before storming in.
Kokoro: "What the hell do you think you're doing to my friend's mom, you sick bastard?"
The kidnapper turns to face her, a sinister grin spreading across his face.
Kidnapper: "Who's this? I was just getting to the best part… And now, I've got a bonus—first a MILF, now a loli? How lucky am I?"
Kokoro clenches her fists.
Kokoro: "I already called the police, so you better run or spend the rest of your life in prison."
The kidnapper narrows his eyes and suddenly lunges at her, grabbing her hair.
Kidnapper: "You think I'm scared of the police? You should've just stayed out of this."
He tries to undress her, yanking at her t-shirt first. Kokoro struggles, landing weak punches against his chest.
Kidnapper: "Just stop resisting, or I'll have to get rough."
Kokoro's heart pounds.
Kokoro (thinking): I can't let him take advantage of me, but I need to distract him somehow…
Meanwhile, Nezumi's mom spots a broken glass shard on the floor. With her hands tied behind her back, she maneuvers carefully, cutting the ropes bit by bit.
As the kidnapper is distracted, she suddenly breaks free.
Seizing her chance, she grips the glass shard so tightly that her hand Bleeds
and drives it into the kidnapper's back.
Again.
And again.
The man collapses, groaning in pain.
Five minutes later, the police arrive. They secure Nezumi's mother and Kokoro, arresting the wounded kidnapper on the spot.
Ankhush finishes reading Chapter 2 and sits frozen in shock.
Ankhush realized quickly
His breath quickens.
Ankhush (thinking): If something like this happened in real life… No… It's just a novel… right?
But a nagging feeling in his gut tells him otherwise.
Panic seizes him.
Without wasting another second, he dashes toward the school building, straight to the staff room. He throws the door open, startling the teacher inside.
Ankhush (shouting): "Where is my mom?!"
The teacher looks at him, confused.(paused for a second)
Teacher: "She just left. What's wrong? You look stressed."
Ankhush doesn't respond. He turns and runs, desperately trying to think.
Ankhush (thinking): If this story is real, then—Mansh! Kokoro's real-life counterpart! He'll be in danger too!
But Mansh is a strong guy. He might be able to fight back.
Still… the kidnapper is nearly twice his age.
Ankhush's heart races.
Ankhush (thinking): My mom must have my phone! I can track it!
He use his brother's phone and quickly logs in to his email to track her device.
Moments later, his screen lights up with a location.
Ankhush (shouting): "FOUND IT!"
He rushes to the abandoned building. As he nears the entrance, his eyes widen in horror.
Mansh lies outside, bruised, bleeding and unconscious.
Gritting his teeth, Ankhush dials the police before sprinting inside.
His grip tightens around a broken glass shard he picked up from the ground.
Inside, he spots the kidnapper looming over his unconscious mother.
Rage explodes within him.
With a roar, he charges forward and stabs the man—
Once.
Twice.
four times
six times
Sixteen times.
His vision blurs.
Ankhush's vision slowly fades to black.
The last thing he hears before blacking out is the sound of sirens.
Ten minutes later, the police arrive.
The kidnapper is arrested.
The injured are rushed to the hospital.
