I connected the home surveillance system to my phone, allowing me to log in and observe the unfolding situation.
Perhaps due to my limited perspective from always staying in the guest room in my past life, I never knew exactly where they were causing trouble.
Now, through the surveillance cameras, I could see crystal clear that the two of them were engaged in a fierce battle on the coffee table in the living room.
They even used the flowers on the table as props for their flirtation.
Good Lord, those flowers were carefully selected and purchased by me from the florist.
I nearly threw up.
It seems Mrs. Grey arrived a bit earlier in this lifetime compared to the last.
Before they could even change locations, the front door swung open.
"Ahhhhh! How could you two do such a scandalous thing! Have you no shame at all!"
Witnessing this historic moment, I almost burst out laughing.
Alec and Vivienne were both stark naked, now frantically searching for clothes to cover themselves.
Just then, my best friend Daisy also pushed open the door and entered.
She had always disliked Alec, and upon seeing this scene, she immediately understood what had transpired.
"Alec, you're such a bastard! How dare you do this behind Melody's back!"
Alec never expected to be caught red-handed like this.
But he still acted like a man, shielding Vivienne, "This has nothing to do with Vivienne. Don't give her any trouble. If you have any issues, take them up with me."
Well, well, well, how chivalrous.
"Oh no, how could this happen, my dear Alec? Why did Auntie and Melody's bestie suddenly show up?"
Vivienne fake-cried while casually inquiring.
As expected, the brainless Alec immediately took the bait.
"Mom, why are you here? Did Melody tattle on me? I can't believe she's that kind of woman..."
Before Alec could finish, his mother slapped him across the face.
"Don't you dare eat shit and pin all the blame on Melody! She wouldn't stoop so low as to tattle to me. Besides, she's your lawfully wedded wife. Even if she caught you cheating, wouldn't she be well within her rights?"
My bestie chimed in, "Melody is seriously ill and can't even get out of bed. I came to bring her some soup. Don't assume everyone is as cold-hearted as you!"
Alec was dumbfounded.
"What? Melody is sick?"
His expression grew serious, as if realizing I might be at home.
He quickly got dressed, intending to check on my room, ignoring Vivienne's attempt to cling to his arm.
"Honey Alec..."
She tried to use a coy voice to stop Alec from going upstairs, but received a slap across the face from my best friend.
"Stop acting so disgusting, trying to seduce someone else's husband. Have you no shame?"
There were no cameras in my bedroom, so I couldn't see Alec's expression.
But when Alec came back downstairs, he seemed much calmer.
"You don't need to team up to trick me. Melody isn't lying in bed at all. I think she's just making excuses to play the victim, trying to use you to catch me."
My best friend was nearly laughing from anger.
"Alec, did a dog chew on your brain? Who would curse themselves to be sick for no reason? I'm calling her right now."
"Fine, if it turns out she really set me up today, just so you could come to my house and bully Vivienne, I definitely won't let her off the hook!"
