Chapter 10: Warning.

Guts followed the band back into their camp, where he was put into a cage. Guts managed to request and maybe intimidate Serpico to bring him food and water.

"Guts, maybe you should allow yourself to be imprisoned more times!"

Puck said as he ate some grapes with gusto. Guts looked at Puck with annoyance as he tapped his head. Just then, Guts opened his eyes wide. In the shadow, a face appeared.

It was the cursed baby of Guts and Casca.

"Danger... Hurry... Make haste..."

Guts felt his body almost go out of control as it was about to charge through the cage, but he held himself back. It was hard, but he managed to do it.

"Looks like the body is starting to listen to me more..."

Guts muttered as he rubbed his painful temple. It felt like it was about to explode from how hard he clenched his muscles, and the blood went to his head from the pressure.

Just then, a shadow loomed over Puck and Guts.

Guts and Puck looked up. Farnese was outside the cage, looking down at them with anger.

"You dare blackmail Serpico to bring you food and water?!"

Farnese said as she looked at Guts. With a sigh, Guts stood up, his height towering over her. The shadows inside the cage started squirming as a face appeared on it.

"Come closer, I can't hear you~"

Farnese looked at Guts in confusion before she did as he said. But the ghosts behind Guts flew towards her, trying to possess her. Farnese let out a shocked yelp as she saw that.

"What!"

Farnese jumped in shock and fear. Her hands started shaking as she was about to pray to God. But her eyes opened wide as her hands did not move from her side.

Guts smirked before he took his Dragon Slayer. He sliced through the ghosts around him and in front of Farnese. The cage was sliced up by Guts, who stepped out of it.

"Oi, if you don't want to die. Don't pray to your useless God anymore."

Farnese nodded with a shocked face. Once realised what she had done, she opened her eyes in shock.

"Y-you damn criminal! Guards, arrest him!"

Serpico, who followed Farnese here. Serpico put his hand towards the handle of his sword, but he knew nothing he did could work on Guts.

Guts smiled as he waved his hand at Serpico and Farnese. He turned around and vanished from the place. Farnese and Serpico watched as Guts seemingly teleported from their eyes.

"Speed is also not humanly possible... Strong"

Serpico muttered with a smile. Farnese turned around in anger. She entered her tent and took her clothes off before whipping herself on the back.

"Guts!... You criminal"

She muttered.

Outside the tents, Guts sighed with annoyance since he did not know where Casca or Rickert were. He read the manga, but he did not pay as much attention as to know everything.

"Body! If you are listening to me. Then guide me to where Rickert is!"

Puck looked at Guts like he was about to lose it. But he held himself back from saying something since Guts seemed focused.

Guts waited for a few seconds before he felt his leg muscles suddenly start to twitch crazily. He looked down and smirked before he got into a sprint.

He started running faster than a horse. Guts held back from going full speed since he would burn his stamina out at a much faster rate than going at his current speed.

With how many apostles and monsters he killed. Guts has the stamina to keep fighting at full strength and speed. For many hours, if not a couple of days.

[Time skip.]

In a cold place where snow was falling down, a little girl was cutting off branches from trees she could reach. She suddenly stopped as she heard someone singing.

"Snow! Lalala! Dingding! Winter Fairy!"

"Knock it off! You sound like a dying animal in the winter, singing his last words to the world!"

Puck froze in shock, and he fell down towards the ground as an arrow went through his heart. Erica perked up as she heard the familiar voice from behind her.

"Guts!"

She ran towards Guts with a smile. Guts smiled, and Guts caught her in his arms. Guts patted Erica's head with a smile. It felt good to meet such a kind girl in this godforsaken world.

"Erica. It's been a long time."

Erica looked up and smiled. Guts walked towards her basket of wood, and he picked it up before he started walking towards Rickert's house.

Soon, the 3 of them reached the house, and Erica ran towards the door with a smile. She barged in while announcing their arrival.

"Rickert! Look who came back!"

Rickert was making a sword, and when he heard Erica. He stopped and looked back. Upon seeing Guts, he was surprised. But he also had a bit of guilt in his eyes.

"Guts!"

Rickert stood up, and Guts stretched his hand out for a shake. Rickert looked at him in surprise before he shook hands with Guts.

"Rickert, where is Casca?"

Rickert looked down at the floor, and Erica had guilt written on her face as she looked down in shame and sadness.

"Casca is... Gone"

Rickert said as he waited. But it was silent. He looked up and noticed that Guts was not shouting at him, just looking at him. Rickert was confused, but Guts suddenly spoke up.

"Rickert, I need you to repair my Dragon Slayer. and my fake arm."

Just as Rickert was about to nod his head. A shallow voice was heard from above the room. It was Goto.

"Guts, I will do that myself."

An old man who looked like he was about to die. Came down from the roof, and he opened a door leading down.

"Goto... Okay."

Goto looked at Guts, and he noticed that he was not filled with hate like before. He was relieved. He walked closer to him and took a look at Dragon Slayer.

"Hmm... It is full of cracks and nicks."

Guts nodded. With his strength, he found it hard not to break the sword. He put the Dragon Slayer down, and then he took his fake arm off. Goto nodded his head as he took his arm, examining it.

"It is blood-stained and rusty. But I can fix it up."

Rickert looked at Goto with concern. He was old and losing strength due to old age. If he does make the sword, then he might not live more than a week...

"Rickert. Take Guts to rest."

Goto said, and Rickert nodded. Guts followed after Rickert, and he entered the cave where Casca was kept. The body started shaking for a second, showing its emotions.

"Thank you, Rickert."

Guts turned to Rickert, and he smiled. Rickert nodded his head, and he turned around to walk away.

"I will bring you some food in a while. Rest until then."

Guts nodded, and he took his armour off. Puck was off playing with Erica. When the food arrived he ate it, and after that, he went to sleep since he was tired from travelling non-stop.
