CH 25: Others Changes

[Beast Tamer]: I'll make some new friends for sure!

Luna grinned she couldn't wait to befriend the enormous snake that was about to appear in school, a large new unique friend.

"Sparky, do you think the basilisk would like to be my friend too?" Luna asked, remembering the information she'd gotten from Ragnar, she even forgot the upcoming horcrux as she focused on becoming friends with the basilisk.

Sparky was a phoenix that suddenly appeared when she watch a quidditch show with her Grandma Vinda and now it was always by her side.

Sparky let out a cry, flapping its wings rapidly as it circled around Luna.

"Okay, I think we don't need to fight it..." Luna said thoughtfully, understanding what Sparky wanted to say as Luna knew every animal language. Her eyes lit up with another idea.

'But I think we should bring lots of food! It must be hungry.' Luna thought before she rushed out of her room, racing down the stairs.

"Grandma Vinda! Grandma Vinda!" Luna shouted excitedly.

"What fantastic idea have you come up with this time, my little elf?" Vinda's voice echoed from behind the newspaper at the table.

Pandora, who had just placed a coffee on the table, watched Luna's antics with amusement. "Don't tell me, you've made another new friend?" she asked.

Luna shook her head towards her mother before her eyes focused on Vinda. "Grandma, I need lots of food!" she exclaimed excitedly.

"Why? Did your friends already finish their food? You've got a month's worth of food in your suitcase," Vinda said calmly, flipping the newspaper.

"No, I'm going to make a new friend at school, and it's a big one!" Luna declared, pulling up a chair and sneakily took a pancake from the table.

"Are you going to the Forbidden Forest with Celia and Sylph?" Vinda asked, knowing the unicorn might want to return to its herd.

Xenophilius and Pandora exchanged questioning glances, but they didn't try to stop her.

They knew that Luna, with her incredible Animal Affinity, would be safe in the Forbidden Forest, especially with her friends protecting her and Luna wasn't your average wizarding child.

"No, I'm going to be friends with a basilisk at Hogwarts!" Luna announced, munching on the pancake.

"Pfft," Xenophilius spat out his coffee in shock, staring at Luna in disbelief. "There's a living basilisk at Hogwarts? Are you sure?"

"It seems the Chamber of Secrets is real after all," Pandora said, recalling the rumors that had circulated during her stay in Hogwarts. They'd been used to continuously scare muggle-born wizards, a terrifying legend passed down through generations.

"Manners, Xenophilius! Manners!" Vinda admonished, lowering her newspaper, which was now damp with coffee. The most shocking thing was that Vinda looked as young as Pandora.

"Sorry," Xenophilius said, his face flushed with embarrassment. He whispered a spell, "Tergeo," and the coffee stain in the newspaper began to rise, making the newspaper dry and clean.

Vinda nodded to Xenophilius before turning to Luna. "Did Ragnar tell you about this?"

Luna nodded, finishing her pancake and taking a sip of the milk her mother had prepared for her.

Vinda's eyes narrowed, her gaze serious. For three years, she'd been privy to the Chat Group System, helping Luna with her missions, teaching her magic, and even regaining her youthful appearance thanks to a chess piece granted by one of the members.

"Did he tell you anything else? About a mission, perhaps?" Vinda asked, knowing Ragnar was the one who knew their future in the original timeline and because of the the Lovegoods was eternally grateful to Ragnar as his informations had prevented Pandora's death.

Luna concentrated hard, her mind replaying her conversation with Ragnar. Suddenly, her eyes widened. "Oh! And a horcrux is coming to Hogwarts."

"A horcrux? Voldemort?" Vinda asked, her brow furrowed with curiosity. "What will you do with it?"

"Destroy it," Luna whispered as she began to check her mission log.

[Major Destiny Missions]

[Mission 4: Kill Voldemort before Harry Potter]

[Horcrux 2/7]

[Reward: Ancient Magic Animagus, Eyes of Destiny]

[Mission 5: Take all Deathly Hallows]

[Elder Wand 0/1]

[Invincibility Cloak 1/1]

[Resurrection Stone 0/1]

[Reward: Death Affinity]

"Good," Vinda said, a genuine smile spreading across her face. "It seems you got your priorities straight," She was relieved she hadn't needed to remind Luna about the importance of the horcrux.

"Okay, since the horcrux is taken care of, let's talk about the basilisk," Xenophilius said, unconcerned about Voldemort being alive. The Lovegoods had experienced so many unusual events in the past three years, a living dark lord seemed almost ordinary.

"Don't you think befriending a basilisk is dangerous?" Xenophilius asked, his expression turning serious. Even though he and Pandora had allowed Luna to keep magical creatures, they knew nothing about a basilisk. "Even if it doesn't mean to, it could turn you into stone."

Luna's brow furrowed as she thought about it. She nodded solemnly. "Then I'll ask it to close its eyes," she said, her face filled with seriousness.

Xenophilius's lips twitched, a sigh escaping his lips. He couldn't say anything because there wasn't anything wrong from Luna's words.

"Hahaha, you really are my precious baby," Pandora said, a bright smile lighting up her face as she kissed Luna's head. She then took Xenophilius's hand and looked at Vinda. "Grandma, could you ask your acquaintance about how to take care basilisk, How to raise one, I mean."

"I'll try," Vinda said, a mischievous glint in her eyes. She thought of Newt Scamander. 'How would your react if Luna charmed all your magic animals as well?' Vinda thought as she chuckled, a devious smirk spreading across her face.

"Grandma's thinking something bad again," Luna said, noticing Vinda's smirk.

"My little elf, you know me so well," Vinda said, a loving smile softening her features as she stroked Luna's hair.

In the classroom of first-year class-A at Kuoh Academy, a hush fell over the room as the math teacher diligently explained a complex equation.

The back door slid open, and Tsubaki entered, bowing slightly to the teacher before making her way toward Sona.

Tsubaki leaned closer to Sona who was looking at her in doubt, whispering in Sona's ear, "Lady Serafall found where the Sacred Gear you're looking for."

Sona's eyes widened, understanding the significance of the news. She stood abruptly and left the classroom with Tsubaki.

The students exchanged bewildered glances.

Rias, resting her head on her hand, watched Sona's departure. "Akeno, what do you think Sona is up to?" she asked, her tone laced with curiosity.

"It must have something to do with her peerage," Akeno replied thoughtfully, recalling the mention of a sacred gear.

Rias's face became filled with envy, her jaw tightening as she thought about her own peerage. She still only had three members, while Sona boasted a Queen, two Bishops, a Pawn, and now, another member was about to join her ranks.

Meanwhile, Sona and Tsubaki walked toward an empty classroom, while Sona ask for more information.

"Where did my sister find him?" Sona asked, frustrated that she hadn't received any information about the Sacred Gear wielder from Ragnar.

"Greece, Lady Sona. It's under siege by fallen angels and demons as we speak," Tsubaki reported, opening the classroom door.

"Then let's not waste any time," Sona said, pushing up her glasses. 'Looks like I can complete a mission and pay Ragnar for the last information,' she thought, feeling a sense of satisfaction.

Sona got a new Queen, all thanks to Ragnar's valuable information. 'Now I can finally ask about new information from that dragon,' she thought amusedly as Ragnar didn't want to share any information until she pays him back.

'Although he requested a Longinus, a Queen with wielding the Sepiroth Grail is worth it,' Sona thought knowing when her Peerage become stronger she will too.

A magic circle materialized beneath their feet, and Tsubaki continued her report before they disappeared.

"And Sairog Bael was seen near Greece as well," Tsubaki whispered.

Sona frowned, not surprised by Sairog's appearance but deep inside she knew she need to hurry knowing the Sacred Gear was destined to fall to Sairog hands.

The magic circle pulsed with an intense light, and they vanished.

"Sona! Tsubaki! You're here!" A short blonde girl with red eyes exclaimed, waving to them as they materialized.

"Valerie? What are you doing here?" Sona asked, a helpless smile tugging at her lips. She didn't want Valerie, her queen to be seen by others, knowing she was a target for various factions.

"Lady Serafall asked if I wanted to come," Valerie Tepes said, scratching her head and looking at Sona, hoping she wasn't angry.

"And Gasper?" Sona asked, knowing that wherever Valerie went, Gasper would always be a plus one.

Valerie shook her head, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Gasper didn't want to come when he found out there were too many people here for it. He said..." Her voice trailed off, unable to think of a good excuse for Gasper's absence.

"Looks like we still need to solve his problem immediately," Sona murmured, her gaze troubled. She had thought she'd helped Gasper overcome his shyness and reclusiveness, but it seemed there was still work to be done.

"And my sister?" Sona asked, looking around, her eyes searching for Serafall.

"Lady Serafall wanted to look around to check if there was someone stronger hiding in the shadows," Valerie replied, her gaze fixed on the battle raging down in the valley.

"It's strong, even if its wielder is dead. Are you really going to give it away?"

Sona's eyes narrowed as she observed the fallen angels and demons working together, their cooperation a strange and unsettling sight. She met Valerie's gaze. "It's powerful, but you and Gasper wouldn't become my Peerage if wasn't for him."

"I know, I was just asking," Valerie said, a smile playing on her lips, she was always grateful for Sona and Serafall helping them escape from her family.

"It's cute, though. It would look good as a pet."

"A lion can never be a pet, and this is the Nemean Lion at that," Sona said, shaking her head, her mind already focused on the task at hand. She started walking towards the Golden Lion, which had just killed the last fallen angel.

The Golden Lion, sensing the approaching threat, raised its head, its golden fur shimmering in the sunlight.

"RRAWWWWRR!" The Golden Lion roared, a deafening sound that shook the trees, the ground, and even the air.

Sona stopped, her gaze meeting the lion's, unfazed Sona extended two of her palm aiming towards the Golden Lion.

A blue magic circle materialized over her hand, and the surrounding water element began to gather, forming into a massive water dragon: Leviathan.

"Let me see the strength of one of the thirteen Longinus, Regulus." Sona declared, her voice filled with eagerness as she fixed her gaze on her target, Regulus Nemea, the Sacred Gear Ragnar had specifically requested.
