Cassius excused himself after dropping Vesper off to school to check in on his newfound prey Camilla. He had left a trace of his aura on her to track her whereabouts, not enough for anyone else to notice though. Estefan had given him a handful of mice stickers to diffuse Camilla's scent, and a programmed pair of earrings coded specifically as a permanent solution. However, Cassius hadn't figured out how to ensure she wore these all the time without the use of his charm. He could just instil the fear inside her to force Camilla to wear the earrings but that would just ruin his meal, blending in as society was harder than he anticipated,
Continuing to ponder in thought, Cassius backed into an alleyway, using quick step he traversed the buildings gaining higher ground. Like a humanoid beast Cassius picked up speed to jump between buildings, reaching Camilla's apartment complex. He lay on the edge of the rooftop assessing his predicament. 'Will this be a daily occurrence? As Ashin said it's giving… stalker?' He sighed while looking down at Camilla's front door sensing it open.
Camilla came out still in her pyjamas, half asleep her fluffy shorts and oversized white t shirt stood out against the black bin bag she was holding. Seizing the opportunity, Cassius moved too quick for the eye to see, all that was felt was a gust of wind. 'Oh my god, I need a jacket!' Camilla dropped the Trash and held her shivering body as she went inside to wear the coat.
Cassius had already stealthily placed the sticker on her and was sitting cross legged still in thought. 'I must be getting old; I have no patience for such acts.' He sighed as he finally decided on a solution. 'The easiest way would be to simply tell her.' He paused as he realised, he could do just that. Perhaps Cassius wasn't used to vampires being public, so the thought crossed his mind till now. However, considering it's for her own safety, Camilla would surely cooperate.
Meanwhile on campus, Ashin stood surrounded by yet another crowd of friends. Even though this was usually the case, and he enjoyed the company, he could tell these relationship felt shallow and didn't let himself feel anything more. Another reason why he felt drawn to Cassius, he wasn't sure why, but Ashin felt he could connect with Cassius more than the others he always found himself with.
Ashin's time with Cassius was brief but there were a few things he noticed, Cassius was very intuitive and intelligent yet would not know the simplest of things. Ashin found this quite funny and found himself teaching him something new every day, especially when it came to computer skills.
Ashin assumed Cassius had a strict traditional upbringing after seeing the classic car that picked him up the other day and decided that made the most sense. One of Ashin's favourite joys of university days was teaching Cassius a new urban word a day as he would refer to it. He found it hilarious seeing Cassius' elegant pose pour slang out of his mouth.
The only downside that he wasn't expecting from befriending Cassius, was the lack of women that he got to know. Ashin thought with Cassius the two would be a magnet, but unfortunately their reputation was too much for their female counterparts, that most were too shy to approach and be approached.
While in thought, Ashin saw a beautiful figure make her way to what seemed to be towards him. She sported a slick back high ponytail that made her already sharp features even more fox like, she wore low rise oversized jeans and a cropped hoodie to reveal her navel. As she continued towards the group, her eyes met Ashin's and let out sweet smile, confirming she was indeed making her way to him. Ashin wasn't usually this doubtful, but his recent lack of luck had caused hesitation that he forgot to smile back in his usual manner.
'Excuse me, Hi!' She waved tilting her head to dodge the bodies standing in Ashin's view. Her words made Ashin snap back to reality.
'Me? Hi back.' He gave a cheesy smile back and waved his hand mimicking her gesture.
'Could I steal you away really quickly please?' She asked so easily as if it was a natural interaction amongst friends. The people around Ashin didn't really think much of it as he knew almost everyone.
'Course, scuse' me people.' Ashin got up and followed the beautiful women leading him to a bench away from the others. He couldn't help but notice her long ponytail bouncing in front him, Ashin found this a cute element to her confident stride.
Hi back? What the hell? He thought to himself, since when was he so awkward? Ashin tried to regain composure while the girl spun around once they reached an ideal spot.
'You're Ashin, right?' She confirmed looking up at him. 'I'm Maya, nice to meet you, should I say first of all.' She smiled playfully. Maya was quite tall amongst her friends so standing next to someone taller than her was a rare and refreshing experience.
'Nice to meet you, now what can I help someone as beautiful as you with?' He smiled taking in her alluring eyes.
'Well, you see, a friend of mine has a bit of a crush on Cassius, I know, so do many others.' She raised her hands up in a defensive pose. 'But my Camilla is special, don't you think we should help her out?' Maya stepped in closer to Ashin, baiting him with a mischievous look.
Ashin thought to himself what great luck? As Cassius was also interested in her and if he wasn't mistaken, Maya looked to be giving him all the right signals. Just to be sure he thought to test the waters.
'Course, I'd be happy to help, but what does little old me get out of this?' Ashin asked embracing the closeness but never touching, his smile barely holding back his wildness.
'I'm sure we can make it worth your while, depending on what you're looking for?' She replied with another question, leaning in further. Her cropped hoodie fell of her shoulder, teasing Ashin with her ever so slightly showing cleavage.
Ashin was a man after all how could he not steal a peak. 'Oh, I've definitely found it' he responded While reverting his gaze back to her dark brown eyes. He enjoyed the flirtatious battle of wit like a hunt.
They both paused before breaking out into laughter at the ridiculousness of their conversation. She pushed him playfully, to which Ashin didn't move back but caught her effortlessly.
'God, you're hilarious!' Maya spoke threw her laughter.
'Thanks, couldn't done it without you.' Ashin responded with humour. As they caught their breaths Maya noticed Ashin was still holding on to her and she didn't move to let go, instead she let herself get lost in his silver blue eyes and white lashes that rested against his darker skin.
'Here why don't you save your number in my phone, and I'll call you once I sort something out.' Ashin suggested as he let go of her to take his phone out.
Maya didn't move back still, although slightly disappointed that Ashin let go. She took his phone and started to save her contact details. At this proximity, Ashin couldn't help but admire her seductive lips, he noticed a small beauty spot above her top lip and was tempted make a move.
Looking up Maya caught him staring. 'Buy me dinner first, will you!' She teased while resting Ashin's phone on her cheek smiling, the corners of her lips made them more inviting.
Ashin smiled looking away admitting defeat. 'Sure, I'll make sure to do that and more.'
'Good, see you later Ashin.' Maya turned and walked away. He watched her leave studying her body's details, noticing her back dimples and thought them to be a perfect resting place for his fingers.
Ashin took a seat on the bench to compose himself, taking his coat off, he laid it on his lap. He wasn't sure if it had just been too long or if Maya had just turned him on that much. 'Fuuuuck me, Maya.' He sighed as he rested his head back to calm himself, but the beast inside him was roaring.
