Kid, You're Something Else

Mu Shen's eyes opened as he exhaled deeply, feeling the warmth of healing energy coursing wildly within his body, bones and veins. 

A fiery red spark ignited in the depth of his eyes and Mu Shen manifested five abyss gates. 

First abyss: Everything bottoms out

Second abyss: Everything sinks

Third abyss: The void becomes thick

Fourth Abyss: Spaceless

Fifth Abyss: Break down.

The Winter beast was suddenly shocked. It seemed as if the human kid was capable of so much and— why does it feel as if he no longer had any injury? 

The first abyss causes land to vanish, the second abyss makes everything sink within the abyss, including reality; the third abyss makes the void thick which locks whatever that sinks within the abyss, preventing it from coming out. 

The fourth Abyss conforms to space and then erases it, making that which was within the abyss to drift endlessly without a definite direction or destination. And lastly, the fifth Abyss shatters everything. 

Mu Shen immediately pressed his hands down and clenched his fist into tight balls, causing the fifth abyss gate to act. 

The Winter beast was suddenly horrified. It was true that the beast had more strength than Mu Shen, but when compared to Techniques, especially the Invincible ones, the Winter beast stood no chance at all. 

All the fifth abyss gate do is— 

Break down anything that enters within and the Winter beast's winter ability was broken down. 

Not that it lost the ability, but at that moment, it wouldn't be able to make use of it. 

The Abyss Gates vanished and Mu Shen used the Heaven Dao of seven rivers technique. 

If he could not match the winter beast in strength, this Technique would grant him a period of invincibility. 

Mu Shen moved, appearing before the Winter beast in an instant…

"Kid, I don't know what you've done but— you'll regret this. What do you think? That I'm useless without my winter ability? Think again!" 

Another full powered kick was sent Mu Shen's way but Mu Shen retaliated with his own kick. 

When both forces connected, there was a thunderous explosion.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The void shattered and the surface of the water rippled greatly, instantly scaring distant creatures. 

In the Tianyuan cosmos, ripples signifies the difference in strength. There can either be greater ripples or lesser ripples. 

This one that Mu Shen and the Winter beast has created however, was exaggerated. It was akin to a walking Tyrant or a Cursed Calamity. No one wants to get in the way of absolute power.

When Mu Shen took that blow, his expression changed. A realization dawned on him. 

'So it hadn't used its full strength previously?' 

Luckily, his arms only turned numb but his bones did not shatter like it had done earlier. 

The Winter beast meanwhile stared at Mu Shen with a gaze of disapproval. 

"How can you take that punch? It is my full powered attack!" It whined and Mu Shen laughed.

"You think I believe that? Previously, you had said that the kick was your full powered attack and I was almost tricked to believe it not until you unleashed this kick. Now let's continue the combat check."

The Heavenly Dao of Seven Rivers Technique roared and the terrifying sound of a river crashing into another river resounded. It released a suffocating pressure that the winter beast was threatened.

"Kid, you are something else. Let's see who would last in this game of combat check as you've called it." 

The sky suddenly darkened and Mu Shen's face paled. 

"Power from the universe?" 

The Dao of seven rivers technique surged more wildly and the sky trembled, causing a terrifying gale to rescind. Then, it descended, shattering everything in its path, and the surface of the river was overturned by sheer force. 

"I never imagined that you're capable of this." The Winter Beast was truly stunned. 

"You underestimate me." Mu Shen smiled brightly. 

The Winter Beast claw slashed down and the starry sky shattered causing Mu Shen's scalp to tingle. 

He dodged the impact and released a punch that twisted the void. A powerful tsunami rose from the sea and crashed in other directions. 

Mu Shen breathed in and out, deeply as he felt the strain of using the Heavenly Dao of seven rivers technique. It was so mind exhausting and energy exhausting. It was a toll. 

So he decided to try one more gamble. The Winter Beast would not let him go, so his best bet is— Space interchange. 

In the next three seconds, Mu Shen vanished leaving the winter beast infuriated.

First of all, defeating the Winter beast is Impossible. It would simply lead to a stalemate and Mu Shen would wear out first since his domain relm was lower. If Mu Shen keeps borrowing power from the Heavenly Dao of seven rivers technique, his mental health would be at risk and his energy would drain to frightening levels and it would lead to his death. Mu Shen had to flee.
