Skilled Deception

Three figures mysteriously appeared out of a broken rift. Mu Shen, Luo Xiaolei and the Winter beast. 

The astral Beast's homologous body caused the space around them to distort. 

It was too massive.

They stood on a platform which is the border that intermittently connects Wushuang's universe with the Tianyuan cosmos and other parallel universes. 

"You know what to do," Mu Shen said referring to the Winter beast and it nodded instantly, vanishing into the distance. 

Mu Shen glared at Luo Xiaolei and offered a kind smile. 

"You're from the Starsybil clan, you should make an effort to locate them. Do not be on your own so that he doesn't capture you. He's an arbiter. Someone who already has enough power." 

Luo Xiaolei nodded and turned to leave, but before she did she lingered for a moment and said—

"If you need me for anything at all, do not hesitate to call me." 

Mu Shen ignored her, his gaze staring at the void and then, he vanished into it leaving her behind. 

Mu Shen did not care if she was safe or not. But as long as she is under the safety zone of Wushuang's universe, even if that arbiter appears, he wouldn't take direct actions like, snatching a female lady. Those of higher powers could be on watch and as someone, who is known to be arbitrary, cannot commit certain crimes or risk losing their position for good.

The next three days, Mu Shen found a safer spot and resumed cultivating. Essence filled the air completely while Mu Shen felt his body becoming much stronger, exceeding its previous limitations. 

At this moment, Mu Shen had not yet broken through to the next domain relm, but it felt as if he was starting to commune with the skies. 

He crushed more star crystals, while absorbing the drifting mist of essence into his body, also separating the impure essence from the pure ones. 

Then, after two long hours his eyes suddenly cranked open, his crystal eyes dilating and then, his lips curving up in a smile.

Then, he got up from where he sat and disappeared into the void. 

In the next two seconds, he was in front of the chief justice and the man stared at Mu Shen, his eyes widening in shock.

"Impossible! How did you— how?" 

Mu Shen smiled, his white teeth visible as it exposed his excited mood. 

"It is simply a coincidence and I found myself in Wushuang's universe. I know it is surprising, but don't fret— This is just one of my many ways of breaking records." 

The chief justice could not stop his surprise. It was just too impressive of the young man. He had performed so many feats that are considered as Impossible. With a sigh, the chief justice asked;

"Did you find it?" 

Mu Shen's eyes glowered. 

"I had a change of plans right within the Tianyuan cosmos!" 

After this statement, his eyes became so cold and his voice so icy.

"Did you know what hell I had to go through? You even promised me just three times of protection to risk my own life. If I hadn't bargained higher, I would have been at a loss." 

The chief justice's face became serious, almost nervous.

Just hearing Mu Shen say that he had a change of plans scared him so much that it hurts. 

"I simply just thought—" 

"There's simply no explanation for trying to risk a Sentinel's life, isn't it so pathetic and shameful to do it?" Mu Shen was strict as he said that the man trembled. 

"You're getting brazen." The chief justice threatened however, Mu Shen did not care. 

He said: 

"I have the Immortal radish flower. It is right here in Wushuang's universe, somewhere far away, somewhere you would not find it so easily." 

The chief justice was suddenly infuriated. "You want it for yourself? Young man, we had an agreement of a hundred years of protection and a hundred years of continuous supply of resources for your cultivation. What is this now?" 

"Mister Chief justice, I'm saying that I can't risk my life for just those petty offers." 

"But you made the offer yourself!" The man's patience was running out. 

"Well, that was before I entered the Tianyuan cosmos. What I experienced there is more than the offer I made so I cannot give the flower out." 

Mu Shen turned to leave but the man appeared before him in an instant. 

"What do you want? Why do you not want to give the Immortal radish flower? Is it really Immortal?" 

Mu Shen smiled brightly and answered: "Yes, it is Immortal and it has the power of fate." 

The chief justice was suddenly desperate. "What do you want, name it." 

Mu Shen stopped for a while and answered: "give me a bit of time. Let me breakthrough, let me improve my strength and after that, I'll be able to answer you." 

Mu Shen proceeded to move, but was stopped again.

"How long will that take?" 

Mu Shen's teeth appeared, so white that even the chief justice was wary.

"A hundred years!" 

The chief justice was suddenly infuriated. "Despicable! You know that I've already promised you a hundred years and as a cultivator, I won't be able to go back on my word, so what is this? You're deceiving the chief justice of the hall of honor!" 

Mu Shen stared at the man with cold grey eyes. "The world works with deception. Old man, do not forget that we are cultivators and to climb every step, we become spiteful, cunning and one step ahead. You clearly tried to deceive me, however I turned the tables." 

The chief justice trembled in rage, his eyes bulging, his shoulders vibrating. 

"You'll regret this!" 

Mu Shen retained his smile. "I hope you don't go back on your word. Only those who really want to overcome their tribulations successfully in order to achieve the progenitor domain relm will dare not. As for the Immortal radish flower, I don't plan to keep it. I already have karma so I don't need fate." 

And just like that, he disappeared into the void and it was also at this point that the chief justice realized. 

"He has Karma? Karma? That bitch? I have to kill him. Maybe, I wouldn't have to keep to my words." His eyes turned extremely cold on the last sentence
