Chapter 6.5 - Stay Behind

If his objective was to take Adam, then he would fail; the boy wouldn't be taken that easily. 

"Why don't you let me be the judge of that, Cal?" His daunting words made Adam anxious. Even at a disadvantage, the giant was still confident. 

Splashing the blood from his fist with a quick hand movement, he kept walking, reaching Shu's sector. Adam turned to face the man, standing inside the protective circle. 

"So, Adam." 

Every time the young God heard his name come out of the creature's mouth, his skin crawled. To Adam, such a despicable attitude toward strangers was inexplicable. 

"Have you awakened your Element? Last time we saw each other, you were a bit scared." He stopped and glared at Adam. "At least now you're carrying a weapon." 

In his right hand, Adam squeezed the sword's handle. He had forgotten about it, having grown used to the weight as if it were part of his own body.
