The Final Massacre

The previously pitch-black dining room floor had now turned into a sea of red. Fresh blood pooled in several parts, creating a horrific scene that looked more like a human slaughterhouse than a dining room.

A foul odor filled the air, mixed with the groans and groans of pain from the fallen prisoners.

Rick stood in the middle of it, the iron bar in his hand already covered in blood. His breathing was steady, his eyes still burning with anger and cold joy.

Hundreds of people were lying on the floor, helpless. Some of them writhed with their bodies covered in wounds, while others had even lost consciousness. The brutal blows from Rick's iron bar had paralyzed them all.

Of Bruno's total troops, almost half had fallen. But there was still half left.

Rick swept his gaze across the room. The dining room was about 300 square meters in size, large enough to move freely without much hindrance. The perfect space to fight without restrictions.

The waves of attacks continued to come. The remaining prisoners screamed and charged at Rick with eyes full of hatred, as if they didn't care about the fate of their fallen comrades.

"Attack!" shouted one of them, swinging a wooden rod at Rick's head.

Rick stepped aside easily, avoiding the attack, then twisted his body. The iron rod hit the prisoner's knee.

Crack!

"Aaaagh!"

The man immediately fell to his knees, his hands clutching his now shattered knees. Rick didn't give him a chance to breathe, he swung his iron bar once more, this time towards his head.

Bugh!

The prisoner immediately collapsed without a sound, his body shaking for a moment before finally going still.

Rick kept moving, facing each person who came. Every attack he launched was merciless. His iron bar hit his head, broke bones, and sent his opponent's body flying in all directions.

Bam! Crack! Thud!

Blood continued to flow, screams of pain filled the room. But strangely, even though Rick had been so brutal in fighting, Bruno's men remained undeterred. They continued to attack, even though in the end they would end up with bodies covered in wounds or even almost dead.

Rick began to wonder.

"What kind of loyalty is this? It makes no sense!" he thought as he dodged the knife attacks that were flying towards him.

He knew that in this prison, no one was loyal for no reason. Everyone moved because there was something they wanted. And Rick had long understood the reason.

Bruno is not just a gang leader in this prison. He is a man with great power, especially in the form of money and influence. Rumors circulate that every prisoner who becomes his subordinate will get better facilities, starting from drugs, including illegal drugs, then decent food, to protection from other groups.

So, they fight to the death not because of courage, but because they are afraid of losing what Bruno has given. It is a form of loyalty born of interest, not from respect.

"No wonder they act like loyal dogs," Rick muttered as he swung his iron bar towards the stomach of a prisoner who approached him.

Bugh!

The man immediately flew backwards, vomiting blood, and fell unconscious.

Rick glanced at Bruno, who was still standing in the distance, watching the battle with a tense face. Although his expression tried to look calm, Rick could feel fear starting to creep into the man.

Rick also knew that Bruno was a figure far more dangerous than just a gang leader in this prison. He was not only in power here, rumor has it, there was a great power out there that supported and protected him. In fact, some said that he had connections with influential people in the outside world.

But Rick didn't care. Bruno might have connections with the mafia, the cartel, or even high officials. But that meant nothing to Rick. Right now, there was only one thing that mattered to him, revenge.

Rick held his iron bar tightly, staring at Bruno with a sharp gaze.

"Today, you will taste what you gave me," he hissed.

Bruno gritted his teeth. He knew that there was no turning back.

~o0o~

After a while, Rick began to feel bored. He had defeated so many of Bruno's men one by one, but they still kept coming. He sighed softly, glancing at Bruno who was standing in the distance with a tense face.

Hundreds of people had fallen, lying with terrible wounds from Rick's brutal blows with his iron bar. Half of them had been paralyzed, while the rest were still standing even though their bodies were covered in wounds and blood was flowing from their heads and limbs.

Rick stepped forward, his eyes fixed straight at Bruno, but his steps were always blocked. Bruno's remaining men were still determined to block him, as if desperate to protect their master.

"Enough playing around," Rick muttered.

Rick let out a bored sigh.

"You guys are his dogs," he said coldly.

As he continued to fight, he slid two iron bars into his back, then grabbed a folding chair from near the dining table. Without hesitation, he lifted the chair high and swung it at the first man who tried to approach.

CRASH!

The man's head hit the chair hard. The impact echoed throughout the room, followed by a scream of pain. The man's body was thrown back, his head bursting with blood.

Rick didn't stop.

CRASH! CRASH!

One by one, the people who dared to approach were hit by the iron chair. Some immediately fainted, while others fell groaning while holding their bleeding heads.

Now, the distance between them and Bruno was only a few meters. However, Bruno's remaining men still insisted on standing in front of him, as if they were more afraid of facing Bruno's anger than facing death at Rick's hands.

Bruno himself began to look anxious. He gritted his teeth. "Damn it! Finish him now!"

But before his order could be executed, suddenly...

ZAP!

All the lights in the room went out. Instantly, the entire place became pitch black. Not only in this room, all the lights in the entire Ironclad Prison also went out.

Rick smiled faintly in the darkness. Although it was a bit late, it finally happened.

Bruno and his men immediately panicked. The sound of curses and screams of fear echoed in the darkness.

"Damn! What happened?! Why did the power go out?!" Bruno shouted angrily.

Meanwhile, in the midst of the chaos, loud laughter was heard.

"Heh… heheheh… Hahahahahaha!"

The voice came from Rick. A cold, menacing laugh.

The lights going out was no accident, but all part of Rick's plan.

Many might consider this a cowardly move. But Rick didn't care. As long as it could make his path smoother, that was enough. Besides, this blackout would also prevent the warden from entering this room.

"You know what, Bruno?" Rick said softly but loud enough to be heard in the dark room. "I'm going to kill you."

Bruno's fear was growing, even though his expression couldn't be seen in the darkness.

Now, while everyone was still panicking in the darkness, Rick began to move.

In the pitch black, Rick could still see clearly. With his Enhanced Vision Skill giving him an absolute advantage in the dark. He could see every movement in detail, while his enemies could only grope like blind people.

CRASH!

Broken bones, blood splattered, and screams of pain continued to echo. Rick moved like a demon in the darkness.

No one could counter his attacks, and no one could fight him.

One by one Bruno's men fell without being able to fight back. And it didn't take long until finally only Bruno was left, standing trembling in a pool of blood.

Rick slowly stepped closer.

Bruno, though terrified, tried to hide his panic. However, Rick could clearly see how the man's body was shaking.

Bruno, though terrified, tried to hide his panic. However, Rick could clearly see how the man's body was shaking.

"Y-You... You're not getting out of here alive, Rick!" Bruno tried to threaten, though his voice sounded bitter.

Rick just grinned. "I don't care."

Then, with a slow but powerful movement, Rick pulled Hofund out of his storage dimension. The sword was invisible in the dark, but Rick could feel its familiar weight in his hand.

CLANK!

Rick slammed the back of his sword into Bruno's head.

Bruno groaned in pain, his body stumbling back.

"Damn it… you bastard!"

CLANK!

A second blow hit his jaw. Bruno fell to his knees, blood pouring from his head.

Rick stared at him expressionlessly. "I've waited so long for this moment."

Bruno looked up, his eyes filled with fear.

"W-Wait… I can give you anything! Money, power, you can be the most powerful person here! I can even get you out of this prison!"

Rick snorted. "It's too late, I don't need any of that."

And quickly, Rick swung his sword.

SWOOSH!

CRACK!

The vertical slash hit Bruno's right arm.

Bruno screamed hysterically. His right arm was separated from his body, blood spurting everywhere.

Rick stared coldly at Bruno's body writhing in pain on the floor.

"That's for everything you've done to me," he said flatly.

Bruno was now crying. He tried to crawl away, his body shaking.

"D-Don't… please…!"

Rick was undeterred. One by one, he began to cut off Bruno's limbs.

SWOOSH!

Bruno's left arm was ripped off.

SWOOSH!

His right leg was severed.

SWOOSH!

His left leg followed.

Bruno could only howl in pain, his body no longer intact covered in blood.

Rick stared at him emotionlessly.

"This is my revenge," he said. "For all the torture you've given me all this time."

And finally, with one last slash...

SWOOSH!

Bruno's neck was severed. His head fell to the floor with a thud, his eyes still open in an expression of frozen fear forever.

The room was now completely silent.

Rick took a deep breath, then put all of Bruno's body parts, including his head, into his storage dimension.

After that, he turned around, walking out of the dining room that had now turned into a mass grave.

His steps were calm, as if everything that had just happened was just a normal thing for him. Without looking back, Rick disappeared into the darkness.
