High rank stage one

"Arghh"

Kent shouted in immense pain. His muscles and ligaments were on fire. He couldn't speak or think, all he could do was scream at that moment as he rolled on the floor.

Kent was going through some immense changes. His wound caused by the wolf removing his arm started closing. He was loosing alot of blood before but now that it started closing he gradually didn't feel any pain anymore at his left side.

"This is most likely because of the power which the voice said it awarded me." kent deduced

But the huge problem was the right side of his body. He could feel fire on every single fibre of his being at that side as if burning him. He was going through a lot of pain when suddenly he came up with the realisation

"Ahh".

"if I remember correctly, back at the clan on earth the family said when normal humans were to receive their power's from their master they needed to control it if not they would burn to death."

"They said when we receive our powers we will feel a fire burning sensation in our body but it is how we control it that will determine our fate."

He then quickly changed his posture and sat down with his legs crossed between each other.

"This Is how they did it back on earth.. right?".

He wasn't sure but he didn't care, he gritted his teeth and started regulating his breathing

He inhaled huge amounts of oxygen from the atmosphere and exhaled very little amount. Although this place looked like space it did not feel like it as he had solid ground to stand on as well as being able to breathe.

He then visually imagined in his mind being inside of himself. He didn't know how to do it completely but he still did it.

Then suddenly he found himself in an unfamiliar place.

This place was like a forest. A burning forest.The forest was very small but the flames the forest emitted was very large. It had a lot of trees but it did not have a single animal. It was completely devoid of life. It also had a source of sunlight although small.

"So this is inside of me" Kent thought as he looked around astonished.

He could see the ending of this forest as it was not big.The entire forest was covered by an incredibly thick white wall almost transparent.

It felt like the forest and him were trapped inside of this space as if it were protecting them.

Then suddenly the heat of the forest rose significantly. The fires intensity had sky rocketed hitting the walls of the forest causing it to slightly change colours.

Immediately the fire touched the walls he felt an incredibly sharp pain in his chest region forcing him to return back to reality.

"Shit it hurts. It hurts as hell." groaning in immense pain he said.

The pain he felt in his chest region had forced him to go back to reality.

"It hurts really bad that I want to kill myself"

"It hurts, it hurts, it hurts,but I cant kill myself.

"I was awarded this power for surviving against that wolf monster, I can't waste this chance like I did before."clenching his fist he said

"I need to go back, that is the only place I can find a solution to quench this pain I'm feeling.

"Yes I can't give up."

Immediately after saying that he envisioned being inside the forest in his mind and quickly saw himself in it. The flames were now much more higher and larger than before some even hitting the walls.

"No time to waste"

He immediately sat down on the floor of the forest amidst the fire.He crossed his legs and used his nose to start inhaling sharply. He could still feel the pain and heat that he had but he resisted all of them.

"This is the technique that the clan taught all of its students." I do not know if it will work but it is worth a shot.

Then suddenly the air in the place started being sucked by something.It was like a suction force, no infact it was more like a black hole. And this force as strong as a black hole came from kent.

The fire in the forest started getting smaller as it was being sucked by kent into his body. He was now no longer just using his nose to inhale but rather his mouth too.He was sucking the fire at an incredible pace and as he was doing so the pain which had afflicted him was gradually dieing down.

"Huff... huff"

"It worked, I did it." kent screamed in happiness while gasping for air. It had been over 30 minutes since he started and the forest was now completely cleared up of all fire and all that remained were the trees.

It looked as if a fire never even broke out in this place.

Now the only task left was breaking this wall that the forest was trapped in.

Breaking the wall was a very vital step in the process as without breaking it this will have all been for waste.

He needed to break it, in order for him to be able to access the power he had now in reality.

"I need to break this thing immediately and go and kill that cursed wolf." He thought before fixing his gaze onto something.

He fixed his gaze to his hand and imagined distributing large amounts of energy to his fist, and immediately he did that he felt a huge surge in power at his right fist.

"Ha even a pathetic me is now a slayer." He thought in his mind smiling at himself. He had never thought he could become one especially after he was told he couldn't become one by the clan.

He then quickly switched his focus to the walls of the forest which was more important right now.

With a loud woosh he launched towards the walls ready to destroy it. He didn't need to apply any energy to his legs as the distance to the walls were short.

Running at full power Kent screamed as he got closer and closer to the wall before jumping up, swinging his fist backwards and letting his fist fly at the surface of the wall.

"Boom"

"crash"

Immediately after the impact between his fist and the wall, the wall shattered and became rubbles falling into a huge dark pit under it. Immediately after it fell all he could see was nothing. He couldn't even see darkness As if his vision was suddenly cut off. then suddenly an immense earthquake started and the trees and ground started shaking. Kent still couldn't see anything but he could feel the vibrations from the earthquake letting him know of its existence.

Then a faint dark blue light was seen by kent.His vision had suddenly come back. The dark blue light suddenly grew more and more and then completely covered the entire forest.

"What?"

Kent was completely shocked not by the wall covering the entire place but by the colour of the wall.

Kent knew exactly what this was after seeing it. It was a sign someone used to know if they have ascended ranks. It was not really something common on earth but if it happened everyone knew that it was a great achievement.

"So I guess right now I am at the guardian slayer stage¹ uh?." Kent said revealing a grin on his face.

Note:

Guardian slayer stage is completely similar to that of high rank stage one.There is only a difference in name because they both come from different places. So you could say the cursed wolf and kent have the same level of power now.
