Chapter 1

I have a condition where my memory only lasts for one day.

Every morning, my girlfriend tells me that I'm her lover.

But day after day, she brings other men back to our home.

They flirt and banter, as if I'm not even there.

One man asks her, "Aren't you worried Alec will find out about this?"

"What's there to be afraid of? He can't remember anything now."

She knows full well that I only have one day's worth of memory.

No matter what she says or does, I won't remember it.

But what she doesn't know is that, starting from some unknown day,

I've slowly been returning to normal...

I woke up in the morning to find a strange woman sleeping quietly in my arms.

Before I could even sit up, she spoke as if she had been anticipating this moment.

"Alec, I'm Seraphina."

I froze in place, looking down to examine her.

She opened her eyes and met my gaze, still showing traces of sleepiness.

"I'm your lover."

"You've forgotten me again, haven't you?"

Her tone was natural yet tinged with resignation. I slowly let my guard down.

"Should I remember you?"

Seraphina sighed, pausing for a few seconds before sitting up straight.

Her long hair was slightly messy, but it didn't detract from her beauty at all.

She picked up her phone and unlocked it using my fingerprint.

The screen displayed a photo of us together.

In the picture, I had my arm around Seraphina's shoulder, smiling brightly. Below it was written:

"Alec will love Seraphina forever."

I was shocked. I had no memory of this, nor could I remember who Seraphina was.

Seraphina turned off the phone, tossed it aside, and gently pulled me back down onto the bed, mumbling:

"Be good, let's sleep a bit more."

I lay beside Seraphina, but sleep eluded me entirely.

Once her breathing steadied, I carefully got up.A sticky note on the bedside lamp reads, "Don't forget Seraphina."

I glanced back.

Seraphina's eyes were closed, her brow slightly furrowed, seeming to sleep uneasily.

Not just by the bed, but in the bathroom, living room, and various places, similar sticky notes were posted.

I walked into the bathroom, leaning on the sink, lost in thought.

After an unknown amount of time, I suddenly felt someone hugging me from behind.

I looked up at the mirror.

In the reflection, Seraphina's small body was hidden behind mine, only her fair arms encircling my waist visible.

Her voice was soft, having just woken up.

"Alec, don't rush."

"I'll always be with you."

Seraphina said that I go through this process every day.

Waking up, confused, then slowly accepting her.

And she would tell me day after day that she loves me.

When Seraphina called me for breakfast, I stood awkwardly at the dining table.

"I'm sorry, I don't remember you."

Seraphina paused for a moment, giving me a bitter smile.

She leaned on the table, slowly bending down to look into my eyes.

Her eyes were beautiful, her gaze deep and focused.

Indeed, she was the type I would like.

"It's enough that I remember you, Alec."She spoke softly, "You'll get better."

She comforted me this way, but I still noticed the loneliness in her eyes as she turned away.

"Are you very sad?" I asked.

Seraphina held her coffee, tilting her head in thought.

"How should I put it."

"I'm getting used to it."

She turned to look at me, letting out a gentle sigh.

"I just hope that one day I'll wake up and you'll remember me."

"Even if it's just my name."
