This meeting was called to discuss leasing local land for establishing a fishery and expanding our company's operations.

Of course, it was inevitable that I'd run into my mom and stepdad.

As well as Nolan, who's nearly in his thirties but still mooching off his parents and living off his sister's blood to maintain appearances.

From a distance, I could see my mom fawning over the factory manager, clasping his hand and sweet-talking him: "Look, we've known each other for so many years now. That big shot investor behind the scenes is so wealthy, they won't mind sparing a little..."

"Our Nolan is so clever, if you'd just give him a chance..."

Since they don't know my true identity yet, she was trying to get Nolan a job working for me. The poor boy they once sneered at and wouldn't even deign to look at has unwittingly become someone they can't measure up to.

When she saw me, my mom froze in shock. Nolan's face twisted into an extreme grimace.
