Chapter seven

Mike got to his room and flipped her on the bed and started to undress.

"You think you are stubborn, no one will save you from here".

"Please don't hurt me, why are you doing this? What did I do wrong?".

"Nothing dear, I just found you attractive and I can't resist it anymore".

"Please don't, am just a child, please don't hurt me!".She sobs.

"Don't worry, I will be gentle".He smirked and bounced on her struggling to tear her clothes. Isadora let out a loud scream struggling with him and then the door went open revealing Mrs. Agatha's face.

"Mike!".She called surprisedly and Mike stood up quickly.

"You are back".He sputtered surprisedly. "Is not what you think".

Isadora managed to find her way out of the room while Mrs. Agatha was still dumbfounded by what she saw.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Lisa was feeling restless at work wondering if her daughter was ok.

"Why are you standing doing nothing?".Mrs.Elena interrupted from the stairs jolting her out of her thoughts.

"Am sorry ma, I am almost done".

"Well, hurry up, my husband and his kids will soon be back".She said coldly and went to her room.

Mrs.Lisa sighed and continued to tidy up the living room

Mrs.Agatha started to confront Mike about what she saw and guilt was all over his face.

"What were you trying to do to that innocent girl".She quarrels.

"Am sorry aunt, I don't know what came over me".

"You don't know what came over you, so, if I had not caught you red-handed, you would have defined that poor innocent girl, a girl old enough to be your kid sister".She yelled and started raining beating on him.

"Am sorry".

"You are a beast Mike! A rapist, that's what you are? What did you see in that little girl that you couldn't control your urge, do you know the problem that could have caused you?".

"Please forgive me, am sorry".He sobs on his knees. "I don't want to go to jail".

"You will go to jail Mike, you are heatless trying to define a five-year-old girl".She sighed frustratedly and left to look for Isadora, unfortunately she was no longer in the house. "Where could she be? Isadora!".She called moving around in search of her.

Some minutes later, she became scared as she couldn't find Isadora anywhere around the house or even in their house.

"Aunt, did you find her?". Mike asked from behind and she stared deadly at him.

"Pray nothing happened to her or else, you will be sorry".She said angrily and went inside to call Isadora's mom.

"Oh gosh! What have I done!".He grunts frustratedly

Mrs.Lisa was getting off work because the weather wasn't clear and it was about to rain. She bide the rest workers goodnight and left in a hurry trying not to get beaten by the rain. She stepped out of the gate and almost pumped into Mrs.Agatha.

"Agatha, what are you doing here?".She asked.

"I came because there is a problem, I tried calling your cell phone, but it wasn't connecting".

"Um, yes, the battery ran out, what is the problem?".She asked seeing how tense Agatha looked.

"I...I".She sputtered.

"Speak up, you are scaring me".

"I can't find Isadora anywhere". She said and Mrs. Lisa was surprised.

"What did you say?".

"I can't find her, I have searched everywhere, and I can't find her".She panicked.

"What did you do to my daughter".She screamed and ran off and Mrs.Agatha followed her behind. "Isadora!".She kept screaming along the way.

They continued the search for her and it started raining, Mr. Frank was driving along the road with his kids when Andrew caught sight of Mrs. Lisa.

"Is that not ma. Lisa?".He points in her direction. "What's she doing under the rain looking like that?".

"What is she doing?".Mr. Frank questioned and he drove towards them as he whined down his glasses. "Mrs.Lisa, what are you doing under the rain looking like that?".

"Please help me! I can't find Isadora, she is missing".She sobs and they were surprised.

"What? How?". Andrew asked confusedly.

"I don't know, I can't find my daughter".

"Alright, you two should get in, we will look for her together".Mr.Frank said and they entered the car. He drove off as they continued the search.

Meanwhile, Isadora was lost on a busy road, she was sobbing and calling out to her mother, She rushed out from Mrs.Agatha's house trying to find her way to where her mother worked and that's how she became lost, a lot of passer-by were staring confusedly at her. She squatted by the roadside with her face resting on her legs and she was sobbing. Mr.Frank continue driving at every corner of the road ignoring the constant calling from her wife.

"Dad, why aren't you answering mom's call?".Liam asked.

"Am driving, I can't take her call".He replied.

"I want to go home, am starving".Liam grumbles.

"Didn't you eat a while ago at the restaurant?".Andrew asked.

"Well, I am hungry again, Dad kept turning the car around the circle and it made me feel dizzy".He complained.

"Don't you know we are looking for Isadora".Andrew said reminding him of the situation at hand and Liam scoffed.

"That's not my problem, why will she be wandering around when she knows she can't see?".He asked coldly.

"Liam! Be nice and don't talk like that".Mr.Frank said and Liam frowned and turned his face away.

Just then, Liam caught sight of a familiar girl squatting along the roadside.

"Isn't that the person you are looking for?".Liam asked pointing in the direction and everyone turned to where he was pointing.

"Isadora! That's my daughter".Mrs.Lisa said and Mr. Frank made a quick stop by the other side of the road.

"Everyone stay in the car, I will go over and get her".He said and Liam declined.

"No Dad, you can't, let her mom go and carry her, beside the road is too busy with cars moving round about".He said.

"Don't worry, I will be fine".

"Be careful Dad".Andrew said and he nodded before he crossed over to the other side where Isadora was.

He carried her in his arms and everyone was staring at them from the car. Mr. Frank continued to look both and right to see if any more vehicles were coming, but none was coming, He took a step to cross over, and a truck coming at full speed because the truck lost control. Liam saw the truck coming towards them.

"Dad! Look out!".He yelled and before Mr.Frank could see what was going on the truck ran him over with Isadora in his arms. Everyone was in great shock. "Dad!!!". Liam screamed and they ran out of the car, Mrs.Agatha held the two boys from going while Mrs.Lisa rushed to them.

Soon someone called the Ambulance who drove to the scene of the accident and took the injured persons away, the truck driver was seriously injured as well. Mrs.Agatha stopped a taxi and they drove off following the Ambulance behind.

Meanwhile, Mrs.Elena was getting tense about why her family was taking too long, she called her husband severally and he didn't pick up.

"Why is he not taking my calls? Why are they not back?".She wondered and continued calling her husband's phone and then another call came in and she picked it up quickly. 📞"Hello?".

📞"Hello madam, am I speaking to Mrs. Elena Frank?" The caller asked from the other end of the phone.

📞"Yes, this is she, who am I speaking with?".

📞"Oh, this is Doctor Ben calling from the central hospital, we are here to inform you that your husband was rushed in here a while ago".

📞"What?!".She said surprisedly and she stood up. "My husband?".

📞"Yes, please we need your presence right away".He hung up and Mrs.Elena fell loose.

"Oh no, not my husband".She panicked as she picked up her car key and ran out of the house.
