Chapter 4: Towards the Kingdom

After joining the knights, the protagonist embarked on a journey through the dense forest, heading toward the kingdom. The path was rough, and the atmosphere was tense, especially with some knights still wary of him.

Edward, the young knight he had fought earlier, walked beside him, eyeing him with suspicion.

Edward: "You're strong, but your fighting style doesn't match the kingdom's knights. Where did you learn it?"

The protagonist hesitated for a moment before giving a faint smile. "I've always been good at fighting... maybe it's just natural talent."

Edward remained silent, clearly unconvinced.

The First Threat

As they made their way through the forest, the wind suddenly picked up, and an unnatural silence filled the air. Everyone felt uneasy, as if they were being watched.

Regis, the knights' leader, raised his hand: "Stop!"

As soon as they halted, rustling noises echoed from the trees. Suddenly, a group of bandits emerged from the shadows, surrounding them.

A large man wielding an axe laughed loudly. "What do we have here? Knights of the kingdom? You look like a valuable catch."

The knights wasted no time, drawing their swords immediately, ready for battle.

Regis: "Hold your ground! Don't let them get close!"

The protagonist, uncertain at first, realized this was his chance to test his newly acquired skills. He gripped his sword tightly and prepared for combat.

The First Battle

One of the bandits lunged at him, swinging his weapon in a direct attack. However, the protagonist's body moved instinctively, as if he were a seasoned warrior. He dodged the attack effortlessly and delivered a precise strike to the bandit's leg, bringing him down instantly.

Everyone, including Edward, was momentarily stunned by his skill.

After a fierce battle, the knights emerged victorious, forcing the remaining bandits to flee.

Regis, glancing at the protagonist with subtle admiration: "Not bad..."

The protagonist smirked slightly, realizing he was starting to prove himself.

First Glimpse of the Kingdom

After the battle, they continued their journey until they finally emerged from the forest. Before them stood a breathtaking sight: the kingdom's grand walls, towering high with gleaming towers under the sunlight.

But the protagonist had no idea that entering the kingdom wouldn't be as easy as it seemed...
