The people who had gathered had already scattered, but Peter was still tickling the life out of Orson. This time, Orson couldn't even laugh again and it looked like he was about to pass out. Peter then noticed that Orson's body was beginning to draw in Mana and he stopped immediately.
Even though he had a goal to enable Orson to use magic, he couldn't tickle his way through because even though tickling is basically harmless, the body still reacts to it as it would a fight or flight situation, and at the point that one might awaken in this manner, their magic would be strong.
If they were lucky, it would stay that way but if they aren't, it might lead to trauma as the body wouldn't be able to handle the sudden outburst of strong magic, not to even talk of the pain they would pass true as it was the first time Mana was coursing through their veins, well, not really the veins but the meridians.
"Father, it's past 9," Orson said, trying to put himself in order after the brutal torture.
"Alright, let's get this over with, " Peter said.
He then pulled out the letter from his bag and imbued Mana into the magic formation on the back of the letter.
In a large room, a man sat down drinking tea when an orb lit up.
"I guess they accepted the offer, " He said, stroking his white beard.
"I don't see why we're even putting importance on someone as measly as then, " A woman wearing a red dress said.
"One of these days, your lack of care, belief, and respect towards the Oracle, will put you in an unfavorable position, " The white-bearded man said.
"Since the Oracle said the matter was of great importance and it should be handled, why not kill the boy and his father and be done with it, " The woman asked.
"Why are you talking like you weren't there when the Oracle stated clearly that everything should be handled without any sort of violence, and that is not even adding the fact that this is the best course of action logically. At times I think you don't have this family's best interest at heart, " The white-bearded man said.
"Take what you said back right now! I have contributed greatly to this family more than any old good-for-nothing geezer of an Oracle, " The woman screamed.
" I'll take it that this is that time of the month. Repeat this ever again and face the consequences, " The white-bearded man said, trying to suppress his rising anger.
This exchange went on between the current head of the Regalo family and his wife. After their little argument, a member of the family was delegated the task of assisting the family lawyer with the exchange.
A few moments later, three men and a boy sat down in a cavern. Of course, it was Orson, Peter, the Regalo family member, and their family lawyer.
"Good day, Mr Grey; I am Milton Percy, and with me here is James Regalo, currently acting on orders from the head of the family to represent it in this deal," Milton said.
After introducing himself and James, he began elaborating on the terms and conditions behind the compensation.
'This feels less and less like compensation and more like bondage; just what sort of terms are those? ' Orson thought.
"Hey, I don't know about all this stuff you're saying; all I want is for me and my son to be given what was promised so that we can also carry out what we promised, " Peter said.
"I wasn't informed of any promise made by the family Mr Grey, " The lawyer said.
"Just sign the freaking documents paupers, so that you can be out of our hair, " James grunted.
"I think it's you who is in our hair Mr, " Orson scoffed.
"Shut your trap or I'll... "
"You'll do what beat my son up just like the other did? Just make a stupid move and see, " Peter threatened.
"Hahaha! I think I know why Uncle sent me here; he knew something like this would happen and needed me to deal with trash such as you, " James said.
"I don't think that's why you're here, young master James, "Milton was about to say, but he was interrupted by James, who was still in his pompous mode.
"Don't worry Milton, I'll deal with this trash immediately, " James said.
He then went ahead and attempted to grab Orson, but the lights went off in an instant. It wasn't the light illuminating the cavern but the one in James' eyes.
It happened in a flash but apparently, Peter had knocked James out. It was so swift and quick that apart from them sitting at the table there, nobody in the cavern had noticed anything.
"Sorry for that Sir Milton. I'm sure as a lawyer and someone whose eyes are working fine; you saw everything that transpired and can attest to the fact that I acted out in self-defense, " Peter cooly said.
When Milton heard Peter speak this time, he felt a chill travel down his spine, not because of what Peter had said, but because of the aura leaking out of Peter at that point.
Orson, on the other hand, couldn't believe his eyes and sat in awe, looking at Peter. The move Peter made was too quick and swift for him to have seen anything.
'When will I be able to do such? ' Orson thought.
As for Milton, he didn't waste any time again, and the compensation was handed over to Peter. After that, he got paid some people to pick up James, and from there, they were off.
Before he left though, he assured Peter that nothing wrong would happen to him and his son, as the family head was someone who was just in his actions. He said he was going to recount the happenings of that day as they were, without mixing or mincing words.
'Well, this is still going to be an issue... ' Peter thought
