Born to be Villainess but i can change my fate

Rosalena stood frozen as the Crown Prince walked toward her.

"What is happening? Why is he coming to me?"

The man who had once despised her, who had never spared her a glance unless it was filled with contempt—was now standing before her, his emerald eyes unreadable.

But before he could speak, another voice interrupted.

"I hope I am not too late."

Rosalena turned, only to find herself staring into the deep amethyst eyes of Alexander von Ravenhart, the future Grand Duke.

The entire ballroom gasped.

Two of the most powerful men in the empire—both asking the same woman for a dance.

She barely knew Alexander. He was famous for his cold demeanor, never showing interest in any woman at the noble gatherings. Yet, tonight, he had approached her with intrigue in his eyes.

The Crown Prince's jaw tightened as he glanced at Alexander.

Rosalena, still in shock, composed herself and smiled. "I would be honored to dance with Lord Alexander."

A hushed silence fell over the crowd.

The Crown Prince's face darkened with jealousy. He had expected Rosalena to still chase after him, to be desperate for his attention as she always was in the past. But now… she had rejected him.

Even worse, she had chosen another man over him.

As Rosalena stepped onto the dance floor with Alexander, whispers filled the air.

"Did she just reject the Crown Prince?"

"She used to be obsessed with him! What happened?"

"Lord Alexander rarely dances with anyone… why did he ask Lady Rosalena?"

Meanwhile, noble ladies eagerly approached the Crown Prince, asking him for a dance.

"Your Highness, may I have the honor—"

"I decline."

"What about me—"

"I refuse."

One by one, he turned them all down.

Then, his piercing green eyes settled on Airna.

"Lady Airna, would you do me the honor of this dance?"

A delighted blush spread across her face as she nodded shyly.

The music swelled, and the two pairs moved onto the ballroom floor.

As Rosalena twirled gracefully in Alexander's arms, she found herself getting lost in his violet gaze.

"You look breathtaking tonight," Alexander murmured.

Rosalena arched an eyebrow. "Are you always this charming?"

"Only when I find someone interesting."

She smirked but was still puzzled. "Why did you ask me to dance? We barely know each other."

Alexander tilted his head, amusement flickering in his eyes. "Because you intrigue me. People say you're arrogant, but all I see is a woman who knows her worth. That, and…" He leaned slightly closer, lowering his voice. "I wanted to see the expression on the Crown Prince's face when you chose me over him."

Rosalena let out a soft laugh. "You're cruel."

"And you?" Alexander asked. "Why did you choose me over him? Do you not love him anymore?"

Rosalena shook her head. "No. He is not my type."

Alexander's smirk deepened. "Then, tell me, Lady Rosalena—who is your type?"

She gave him a mysterious smile. "That… is a secret."

Alexander was momentarily stunned. He had expected a sharp response, but her playful teasing only drew him in more.

Meanwhile, across the ballroom, the Crown Prince watched them like a hawk. His hands clenched into fists.

"She never smiled at me like that."

For the first time, he felt an unfamiliar emotion rising within him—jealousy.

Before he could act on it, a loud boom shook the palace.

The Monster Attack

Screams erupted as monstrous creatures burst through the ballroom walls.

"M-Monstrous!"

"Run!"

Panic spread as nobles fled in terror. The once-elegant ballroom was now a battlefield.

The knights of the empire rushed in, wielding swords and magic to fight the creatures.

Rosalena was caught in the chaos, struggling against the panicked crowd.

"Rosalena!" Her brother's voice rang through the air. "Where are you?!"

Before she could respond, a large shadow loomed over her.

A monstrous beast lunged toward her.

She tried to move, but the panic-stricken crowd pushed her back. She stumbled, falling onto the marble floor.

The creature roared, its claws slashing toward her—

And then, a flash of steel.

Alexander appeared before her, his sword slicing through the beast in a single stroke.

"Are you hurt?" he asked, offering her his hand.

Before she could answer, another voice called out.

"Stay away from my sister!"

Christopher, her brother, and the Crown Prince arrived, their swords drawn.

The battle raged on, but as Rosalena stood, she felt something strange—a burning sensation inside her.

Her vision blurred. The world around her faded.

Then, she heard a voice.

In a dreamlike state, Rosalena found herself standing before a glowing figure.

"Who are you?" she whispered.

"I am the one who granted you a second chance," the divine being spoke.

"Why?"

"Because your fate was not yet fulfilled. And now, the time has come."

The being touched her forehead.

A surge of power rushed through her body. A brilliant golden light exploded from her, filling the ballroom.

When she opened her eyes, every monster had been obliterated.

The nobles stared at her in shock.

Her brother. The Crown Prince. Alexander.

Even the Emperor himself.

Rosalena's divine power had awakened.
