A Hidden Necklace & A Father's Love

After lunch, Rosalena walked straight toward her mother's room, her mind swirling with curiosity.

"There must be some clue about the egg."

As she stepped inside, the familiar scent of lavender filled the air. The room remained untouched, just as it had been since her mother's passing. Paintings of her mother adorned the walls—beautiful, elegant, frozen in time. Her father must have placed them there as a tribute.

But then, something sparkled in the sunlight.

Drawn to the glimmer, Rosalena walked toward a small wooden box on the vanity. Nestled inside was a necklace—a breathtaking piece, shimmering like a purple moon. The delicate silver chain held a gemstone that glowed with an almost otherworldly light.

"This… this is no ordinary necklace."

As she traced her fingers over the pendant, a voice broke the silence.

"Rosalena, why are you here, dear?"

She turned, startled.

Her father stood in the doorway, his expression soft. "Did you come because you missed your mother?"

Rosalena looked down at the necklace in her hand.

Her father's gaze followed. A gentle smile spread across his lips. "Ah… that necklace," he murmured, stepping closer. "That was your mother's. She wore it for her first debut."

Rosalena's eyes widened. "She wore this?"

"Yes," her father chuckled warmly. "She sparkled brighter than anyone that night." Then, his voice grew softer. "If your mother were here, she would definitely want you to wear it for your debut, my dear."

Her heart clenched at his words.

Then, he placed a gentle hand on her head, his touch filled with warmth and affection. "Every time I look at you, I see her," he said. "And that makes me happy, Rosalena."

Something inside Rosalena twisted with guilt.

"I'm not even the real Rosalena. The real one is gone... and he doesn't know."

Yet, despite the weight of that truth, she couldn't help but cherish this moment—the love, the warmth.

She hugged her father tightly.

For now, she allowed herself to sink into that embrace, even if she felt like she didn't deserve it.
