Of course, the big Green Lizard was Svetloid Green Lizard Aran.
Flain looked at him. 'Heh, probably the king,' Flain thought. Flain stepped into the ruined settlement.
"Wait, don't attack," Aran shouted at his Lizards.
Flain stopped. "Hey, what do you want?" he said with a smile, as he could feel a lot of EXP in the air.
"You... you understand?" Aran mumbled, his eyes wide open.
"Yes," Flain mumbled.
"Alright, then wait. I am Aran, Svetloid of the Green Lizards. You're really strong, and you've done a lot of damage. How about we make peace? What do you even gain from killing us? You're just risking your own death," Aran said.
"Hmh, who do you think you are?" Flain mumbled.
Flain pushed off the ground — first, he would kill the small ones, then he would go for their big boss. Flain immediately started killing the Green Lizard soldiers, wiping them all out without a single scratch.
[+5400 EXP]
"Commanders, get him!" Aran shouted.
Eight commanders charged at Flain. This would have been a good opportunity to test Tornado of Spines, but Flain didn't know how strong the king was, so he decided to save it for him just in case.
The commanders rushed at him, but Flain dodged and sliced one of them in half. He crossed swords with another, pushed him to the ground, and slit his throat. Another one tried to attack Flain from behind, but Flain spun around and stabbed him through the head.
[-40 HP]
One managed to strike Flain's side, but Flain swung wide and killed him, then immediately went for his comrade behind him and killed him too. Only two were left, and Flain easily sliced through them.
[+2800 EXP]
Flain then turned his gaze to Aran, who was staring at him in disbelief. "Do you still think I'm risking my own death?" Flain whispered, his eyes flickering with manic light.
"Yes," Aran mumbled, gripping his spear tightly.
Flain dashed toward Aran. He could feel the strength radiating from him, but that only excited him more. Aran stood firm, his spear ready to strike.
Flain knew the spear had a longer reach than his swords, so he couldn't just blindly rush in. He had to wait for the right moment.
Aran suddenly lunged forward, his spear slicing through the air straight at Flain. Flain dodged to the side, but Aran was fast. In a flash, he spun the spear around and swung it horizontally in front of him.
Flain ducked, the spear passing just above his skull. He used the opening to close the distance and aimed for Aran's arm.
But Aran did something unexpected. He let go of the spear — but before it could even hit the ground, he caught it with his other hand and stabbed Flain with it in the same motion.
[-80 HP]
Flain felt the spear pierce his chest, though it didn't go in too deep. Aran immediately pulled it back and stepped away, ready for the next attack.
He lunged forward again, this time making a feint to the right before suddenly switching left and slashing.
Aran managed to raise the spear as a barrier, but Flain's strength was too much. The blade cut through the spear's bone, slashed into Aran's shoulder, and left a deep wound.
Aran hissed in pain but did not retreat. Instead, he dropped the broken spear and drew two short swords from his belt.
Aran didn't wait and immediately attacked. The two swords blurred in rapid movements, striking from various angles as Aran displayed incredible precision.
Flain defended himself, blocking the attacks quite well and counterattacking with even greater aggression than Aran — that was his specialty.
Aran spun on one foot and delivered a horizontal slash directly at Flain's side.
But Flain dodged and laughed right in his face. Then he decided to use one of his skills.
"Swift Slash," Flain whispered.
His swords began to shimmer and gleam intensely, and in that moment, Flain moved.
Aran couldn't react in time. Flain's swords sliced through his body in rapid succession. Slash after slash, Aran staggered backward, each cut leaving deep wounds across his skin.
Aran gritted his teeth and jumped back.
Flain felt disoriented.
Aran noticed the opening. He lunged forward and stabbed both swords into Flain's chest at once.
[-120 HP]
Now it was time to try Flain's ace up his sleeve. Flain spread his arms wide.
"Tornado of Spines," he muttered.
His body immediately began to spin, and half-meter-long bone spikes started rotating with him, forming a deadly spinning blade.
Aran tried to leap away, but Flain was too fast.
The spikes tore into Aran's body, shredding his flesh and bones. His death was approaching at rapid speed.
"Please stop! I'll do anything!" Aran screamed in desperation.
Flain suddenly stopped spinning and looked at Aran with cold eyes. "That means you want to become my slave?" Flain asked.
Aran froze, barely able to speak, knowing he couldn't choose his words lightly. "Yes," he said, trembling on the ground and coughing up blood.
A long, bony, bloodied smile appeared on Flain's face. He had been a slave, but the tables had turned. "From now on, you are my slave," he muttered.

[You have used up your chance to create a special skill for yourself.]
Flain glanced at the system windows — he had just obtained a skill out of nowhere? That was worth it. And it was supposed to be special. Apparently, it was due to the event, and Flain had just enslaved Aran. Could it be some kind of enslavement skill? Flain opened his stats.
