"System, use the five-star golden egg!"
The moment Renji returned to his bedroom, he didn't hesitate. He immediately commanded the system in his mind, eager to see what reward awaited him.
As soon as the words left his mouth, the five-star golden egg stored in the system space burst into a brilliant golden light. The radiant glow intensified before the egg shattered, leaving behind a single item—a finely detailed card floating before him.
"Congratulations to the host for obtaining a temporary character card. Upon use, the host will gain the full power of Izayoi Sakamaki for one hour."
The card depicted a young man with golden hair, an electronic headset, and an arrogant yet confident smirk.
"No way… Izayoi Sakamaki, the strongest problem child?!" Renji exclaimed in shock.
He was more than familiar with this character. Izayoi Sakamaki was a powerhouse from Problem Children Are Coming from Another World, Aren't They? Possessing a paradoxical gift—both the "Power to Shatter Miracles" and the "Gift of Absolute Destruction"—Izayoi could break through anything. Mountains, oceans, even celestial bodies were nothing in his path.
Not only that, but Izayoi had a "Third Perpetual Motion Organ," granting him endless energy by drawing from the environment itself. This allowed him to unleash devastating attacks, including his signature move—the Aurora Pillar, a beam capable of destroying stars.
In the High School DxD world, only beings like the Infinite Dragon God, Ophis, and the True Red Dragon God Emperor could rival such power.
"This card alone makes the trip worth it," Renji murmured, smirking as he stored the reward in the system.
With his new trump card secured, he laid down on the bed, drifting into a satisfied sleep.

The next day at noon, just outside the grand castle of the Gremory estate, Renji and his group stood facing Sirzechs and the rest of Rias' family. Unlike yesterday's warm welcome, today was a farewell.
"Renji-kun, from now on, I'm entrusting Rias to you," said Lady Venelana Gremory, Rias' mother, her gaze warm but firm.
Then, with a teasing glint in her eyes, she leaned closer and whispered in Renji's ear, "You two better work hard. I'd love to hold a grandchild soon."
Renji barely managed to keep a straight face, while Rias turned crimson, her gaze flickering between Renji and the floor.
Sirzechs chuckled but didn't comment, while Grayfia maintained her usual composed expression, though a faint smirk tugged at her lips.
With their goodbyes exchanged, Renji, Rias, and the others boarded the train bound for Kuoh Town. As the train ascended into the sky, the Gremory family watched them disappear into the distance.
---
Back aboard the train, Rias sighed and leaned back into the seat. "Seriously… Mother can be so embarrassing."
She crossed her arms, her cheeks still slightly flushed. Occasionally, she'd sneak glances at Renji, as if gauging his reaction.
Seeing his amused smile, she huffed and looked away.
After a long journey, they finally returned to Kuoh Town. Rias, Akeno, and Kiba headed to the Occult Research Club, while Renji returned home with Koneko and Asia.
The moment he stepped inside, he was met with a chilling presence.
Sitting on the couch, arms crossed, was Medusa. A dark aura surrounded her as she stared directly at Renji, her petrifying eyes barely concealed beneath her blindfold.
"Uh… Rider, I'm back," Renji greeted carefully.
The temperature in the room seemed to drop.
"You left me behind," Medusa said flatly, her voice carrying a dangerous edge.
Renji knew he had to act fast. Swiftly, he pulled out a beautifully crafted gift box and presented it to her. "I got you something from the Underworld."
Medusa eyed the box warily before finally opening it. Inside was a snake bracelet, its craftsmanship exquisite.
Her expression softened almost instantly.
The bracelet wasn't just decorative—it was enchanted to absorb excess magical energy and store it for later use. Additionally, it had minor enchantments for self-cleaning and dust removal, making it a practical accessory.
Renji had spent the morning with Grayfia searching for the perfect gift, and judging by Medusa's reaction, he had chosen well.
"...I'll forgive you this time," Medusa muttered, sliding the bracelet onto her wrist.
Renji sighed in relief. Crisis averted.
