CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE:Tamed by love

After ensuring Aria's mother was safe, the men handed her the box from Lord Miguel and explained the situation. They told her that lord nigel sent them with a message.

Aria's mother was perplexed. "Why would the lord go to such great lengths for me?" she asked.

The men replied that they had simply delivered their message and had no further business with her. They then took the captured men to lord nigel

Lord nigel was in his throne room, when the messengers arrived. They presented the captured men before him.

"Who are these men?" He asked.

The messengers explained"They attacked lady Aria's mother."

Lord nigel eyes narrowed. "I should guess that Davina sent you, right?" He said, eyeing the men.

The men refused to speak.

Lord nigel pressed on. "Who is your leader?"

The leader of the messengers hesitated before responding, "their leader fleed. There were about eight of them in total."

Lord nigel expression turned icy. "So, you eight attacked Aria's mother?"

Lord nigel gazed at the captives, his expression unyielding. "You know what? I'm not in the mood to torture anyone today."

He summoned his guards, who hastened to his side.

"Behead them"he ordered, her voice firm.

The guards seized the captives, who let out terrified gasps. They began begging for their lives, pleading for mercy.

Lord nigel turned her back on them, ignoring their desperate cries. he walked away, leaving the guards to drag the captives away as they continued to wail and beg for mercy.

Lord Nigel's POV

I sat in this throne room, feeling utterly miserable. To be honest, I wasn't even in the mood to torture anyone. My mind was elsewhere, consumed by thoughts of Aria. I missed her terribly, longing to see her again, to kiss her, hold her hands, and just be with her.

I stepped down from my high chair and headed towards the entrance, making my way to the maid-quarters. As I arrived, I overheard some maids gossiping. they weren't my concern. My priority was seeing Aria.

As soon as the maids saw me, they immediately fell to the ground, their faces touching the floor. I scanned the place,my eyes searching for Aria. I spotted her in a corner, chatting with Lady Charlotte. I wondered what had brought those two so close together and what they always talked about.

Aria suddenly turned to face me, as if Lady Charlotte had whispered something in her ear. Our eyes met, and she smiled faintly. I beckoned her to come closer, and she rose from her seat.

As she approached, I could sense her nervousness, but I didn't hesitate. I took her hand, feeling a spark of electricity as our skin touched.

"Lady Charlotte," I said, "I'm taking back what's mine ..You can have her back later, but for now, I need her."

With that, I led Aria to my chambers, locking the door behind us. I pulled her close, my lips crashing against hers in a passionate kiss.

"God, I've missed this," I whispered, my breath mingling with hers. "I've missed you so much.

As I kissed her passionately, Aria tried to pull away, but I held her close, deepening the kiss. I guided her towards the bed, my lips never leaving hers.

"No, not again!" Aria cried, her voice muffled against my mouth.

I gazed at Aria, seeing the distress etched on her face. "Arya, calm down, okay? Let's just do it one more time." I pleaded shamelessly

Arya shook her head vehemently. "No, no, no! I can't! Yesterday was...it was unbearable. I don't think I can do it again."

Lord Nigel begged, his voice filled with desperation. "Aria don't do this to me, please, don't do this to me," he pleaded.

Lord Nigel wasn't himself. He was utterly distraught, feeling uncomfortable and anxious. All he wanted was for Aria to give in to his desires.

After relentless begging, Aria finally gave in. Lord Nigel's face lit up with triumph as he got what he desired. Arya's resistance crumbled, and she surrendered to his wishes.

In the kingdom of valtania, King Ryker conversed with his young wife. "Why did King Maric ask to see you."she asked.

King Ryker scoffed, "I think he's a foolish king. He could have accomplished his task without involving me."

His wife pressed on, "Then why did he reach out to you, my king?"

King Ryker's expression turned calculated. "He sought my help to defeat nigel. I've had similar thoughts about him, and now King Maric has brought it to my attention."

The queen asked, "What's the solution, my king?"

King Ryker's eyes gleamed with strategy. "We'll capture someone close to Lord nigel. That's our key to defeating him."

His wife raised an eyebrow. "But I've heard rumors that Lord nigel lacks a heart, that he's incapable of love."

King Ryker smiled knowingly. "According to my sorcerer, someone will soon enter his life, perhaps already has. We'll use that person to our advantage. Once a man falls in love, he becomes foolish and vulnerable. We'll exploit that weakness."

The king's eyes narrowed. "King Maric should have realized this instead of wasting his strength and coming to me."

Davina stood in a secluded, bushy area, confronting the men she had sent to capture aria's mother, They returned empty-handed, claiming they couldn't complete their task.

"The messengers from Lord of ashwood showed up," one of them explained.

Enraged, Davina slapped the leader, her anger boiling over. "How dare you! Why are you so careless? You've ruined my plans!"

She paced back and forth, her frustration growing. "Why is the heavens against me? What's going on? Why is my plan failing?"

Davina pulled out a medium-sized bag of gold and hurled it at the leader, her eyes blazing with anger. "That's for the job you couldn't complete," she spat, her voice icy.

In reality, Davina's motive for handing over the gold was to protect herself. She was alone, surrounded by six men, and feared they might harm her if they felt cheated or underpaid. By giving them the gold, she hoped to appease them and avoid any potential danger.

"That's for the trouble you went through," she said, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

Lord nigel and Arya lay on the bed, enveloped in the soft, fading light of day. Lord nigel cradled Aria in his arms, supporting his head with his hand as he gazed at her.

"So, did you enjoy it?" he asked, his voice low and gentle.

Aria responded with a soft "Mm, yeah, kind of."

Lord nigel's face lit up with a childish grin. "What should we do next?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

Arya looked at him, confused. "I don't understand what you're saying."

Lord Miguel's voice dropped to a whisper, his words barely audible. "Don't you think we should make babies?"

"Nigel!!" Arya shouted.

Lord Miguel raised his hands in a defensive gesture, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Ok, ok, ok, fine! I was kidding, ok? I was just kidding!"
