The gym was located about 1000 meters from the square, and they entered in no time with the panting Derek and a relaxed oldman Jack.
One could see that the gym is a hybrid of a gym and a martial arts dojo. With half containing all sorts of gym equipment like; dumbbells, cable machines, thread mills and barbells. While the other half has a weapon rack with many weapons and a mat.
"Alright everyone take a thread mill and run a mile warm up!" Jack said, with a stern voice as he moved to inspect the cadets.
"The last person to finish his sprint! would run two more miles! and have his training tripled!" he added. This made the cadets who were planning to slack off to pick up their pace.
"Okay, after the sprint everyone gives me ten reps of bench press, the males 100lbs the female 75lbs" Jack said after they completed the sprint...

After the training, Derek dragged his tired body to the administration office which he found out was just an unassuming office 50 meters from the entrance.
"Ha! Ha! Ha!" a laugh sounded behind Derek, he turned back to see an amused Gaius who was laughing while holding his tummy.
"What's funny, you know you could have told me the location of the administration office saving me from being tormented by old man Jack" Derek said in annoyance.
"Could have told you but you moved too fast, might as well find the way yourself" Gaius said with a shrug, as he tried to hold back his laughter.
Not bothering about Gaius again, Derek moved into the administration office and met a petite woman across the reception desk.
"My name is Derek and am here to report for my enlistment" Derek said, as he placed the letter on the reception desk.
"Oh! Am sorry the invitation has been automatically terminated when you didn't report in the morning" she said with an apologetic smile.
Derek's heart sank in his stomach when he heard this. "Is there no other way?" he asked, anxiously.
"Oh there is! You have to apply for the recruitment again" she said, feeling pity for him.
Derek's shoulders sank in disappointment, but then remembering what oldman Jack said in the morning. "Oh! Old man Jack sent me, are you sure I don't have any chance?" He asked like a drowning man grasping on straw.
The receptionist's face changed as she looked deeply at Derek, "you should have said so earlier, come with me and what's that your name?" She asked as she led him to a door behind her desk as they started walking down a hallway.
"My name is Derek Adamo," he answered. "Oh! The son of the former…." She said but cut herself short when she noticed the lapse in silence.
"Oh! Am sorry about that, though to me he's still the alpha Achilles is just an imposter" she said. "It's okay, after all Achilles defeated my dad fair and square there's no need to badmouth him," Derek said with a shrug, trying to sound indifferent.
"Here we're!" She said as she knocked at the door that's at the end of the hallway. "Come in" a gruff voice sounded behind the door.
Opening the door we saw a man sitting behind a mahogany desk, who happens to be the lackey that came with Achilles the night he defeated kyros.
"Sir Damian, this is Derek who wasn't able to report in the morning" she said in a respectful tone.
"Oh! On the account of your father I would overlook this, but that shouldn't happen next time. Do you hear me?" he said without lifting his head from the paper he's working on.
"Yes sir!" Derek replied, with a standard salute – his right fist on his left chest. Feeling like he has just survived a calamity. He realized that all this while his back has already been drenched in sweat.
"If that's all you can go" the man replied waving them off. They left the office, closed the door gently and returned to the reception again.
The receptionist brought out a thick archaic book, bound in some unknown animal skin. Then bringing out a small pot of ink, she wrote his name in an empty space which shone in crimson light for some time and returned to normal.
Opening the thick bound book, the receptionist brought out a gray plaque and handed it over to Derek.
"Congratulations! Cadet Derek, you are officially one of us and dispose of the temporary one when you leave" she said with a smile that bloomed like a flower.
Grabbing the plack which felt warm to the touch Derek read what was written on it;
Derek Adamo
Cadet #0056
He was overjoyed, "thank you" he said to the lady gratefully.
"There's no need to thank me, that's my job" the lady said with a smile. Nodding his head, "if you don't mind I would take my leave" Derek said and made his way to the door.
"The name is Sheila," the receptionist said behind him. "Forgive my bad manners, I am just excited. Once again thank you miss Sheila" Derek said with a shy smile.
"That's more like it," she replied. "And don't be late again," she added.
"Of course I won't, thanks for the remainder" Derek said with a chuckle, and left the administration office.
Moving to the clan house he saw that it was surrounded by the clan members. This surprised him and he tapped a clan member on the shoulder to ask of the situation
