The man's words shocked everyone in the training square. Oldman Jack's shoulders turned stiff when he heard this, but drooped dejectedly as he walked out of the training square without turning back.

Everyone is confused, but it can't compare to the storm raging in Derek's mind now. He was confused because the few days after the dethronement of his dad had been spent in the barracks.

But, the man seems not concerned about what Derek is going through. "Do you admit to your crime, Derek" he repeated himself.

"And what that might be?" Derek asked the man in confusion.

"Still pretending! Soon you will know the hard way!" The man said loudly. "Damascus! Seize him!"

"Yes sir!" The shorter man said, as he matched purposely towards Derek and pushed Jason out of the clearing and stretched forth his hand to apprehend Derek.

But, Derek who's still in his warrior form fought back instinctually. Snorting heavily "it's no use of resistance," the man said matter of factly.

He grabbed Derek's shoulders, his back muscles flexed with a crack sound he broke Derek's shoulder blades. "Howl!!!" Derek howled in pain, his eyes reddened, mustering his strength he headbutted the man.

Shaking his head, "resistance is a futile effort" he said plainly. He kicked Derek's legs which broke with a crack sound forcing him to kneel.

Taking a syringe filled with yellow substance liquid from his pocket, he punched it into Derek's neck emptying everything into his artery.

Derek felt the liquid moving through his veins. It felt like hot lava, his vision got a little blurry. He grasped, trying to remain conscious but all to no avail. He felt his world spinning as he hit his head on the floor losing consciousness. His body shrank as he returned to his human form.

Derek's body was hoisted by Damascus over his shoulder after handcuffing him with a set of silver alloy cuffs. Moving closer to the other man and woman they left the venue stoically the way they came.

All eyes followed the group as they exited the training square. Oldman Jack came in as the group of three exited looked at everyone and sighed. "Today's training is over, you can all go home early" he waved at them dismissively and left the training square.

The group of three could be seen at the entrance of the barracks, leaving in tow with Derek who's slung on Damascus shoulder.

"Mark don't you think you were too harsh on the boy earlier" the only woman among them asked the tall man. The man answered with an indifferent shrug.

"Look I know you want to curry favor with Achilles, but wolfbane! Come on he's just a boy you could have knocked him out in seconds" the woman said, as she raised her voice. The man addressed as Mark earlier stopped.

Walking angrily towards the woman, he grabbed her by her neck and slammed her against the barracks entrance. "Know your place, woman! Don't take my silence for cowardice! And watch how you talk to me, I am your superior!" He said through gritted teeth. But all he received from her was a defiant look.

"Come on Mark, let Rachel go I know she didn't mean it to come out that way. Am I right Rachel?" Damascus said, trying to diffuse the tension.

"Don't come and act like the good guy Damascus, you are just his dog and good dogs don't bark unnecessarily" she said to Damascus vehemently as she spat on the floor to show her resentment.

Damascus' face reddened in anger, as the situation was about to escalate they heard the sound of shuffling of feet.

Looking behind them they could see the dismissed cadets staring at them curiously. Mark released Rachel letting her stand on her feet, righted her collar, turned around and walked towards Damascus.

The two men left with Rachel trailing behind them.

Moving through the streets the group of three were conspicuous with the unconscious Derek slung on Damascus shoulder. And they began to whisper together as they looked at them curiously –

"Isn't that the pack hunters, why are they here and who's that slung on their shoulder. He looks familiar" said stranger #1.

"Shh! Don't speak so loud or you might be next" said stranger #2.

"Yes I can remember that seems to be the former Alpha's only son" stranger #1 said, in

wonder.

"I think something big is brewing and we better distance ourselves from it, am outta here" stranger #2 said, as he patted stranger #2 on the shoulder and left.

Ignoring the whispering around them they arrived in the clan main building. Walking behind the building they opened and entered through the back door. Taking a left turn they walked down a narrow flight of steps which seemed to lead to an abyss, lined up with flame torches on both sides of the wall.

After walking about a thousand steps they stepped into a straight hallway lined up with cells on both sides, few of them had occupants who stared blankly, seeming to have lost will to live. Walking to the end of the hallway, they stopped in front of a dark prison.

"Guess who came to say hello" Mark said as he knocked at the bars of the cell which is made of reinforced silver and a mix of mithril.

Taking a torch from the side of the hallway Mark illuminated the cell where Kyros could be seen suspended in the air by chains.

His legs and arm chains are attached to the wall, keeping him suspended. Then a pipe is inserted in his neck artery passing a yellowish substance into his body at a steady pace.

Raising his bruised face "leave the boy out of this he knows nothing about this!!" Kyros screamed in anger.

Shrugging his shoulder, "tell that to the clan you betrayed tomorrow" Mark said.

Opening the cell opposite Kyros' cell he chained Derek the same way Kyros was chained. But didn't put any pipe into his body rather, he took a set of spikes and inserted it forcefully into his shoulders which elicited a pained groan from Derek almost waking him up but he didn't.

"Let's get outta this depressing place" Mark said, to Rachel and Damascus. "And don't forget to enjoy your stay" he said cheerfully to kyros eliciting an angry groan from him. Chuckling at his reaction he left the place with Rachel and Damascus in tow.

The matter of Kyros and Derek's arrest spread through the whole clan eliciting different reactions but mostly righteous anger.

As the news separated the clan into three, the biggest group supported Derek and Achilles, the second supported Achilles while the third took a neutral position.

Two days later as the situation was about to escalate out of proportion. The loud tolling bell rang summoning everyone to the clan square.

As everyone gathered around the square, Achilles could be seen standing on the platform where he fought Kyros two days earlier. He addressed the crowd.

"Good afternoon, as we became reserved these days the vampires took our silence for weakness and attacked yesterday." Pausing to allow what he said to sink in he continued.

"The vampires attacked, but they couldn't have succeeded without any inside information. This led to the carrying out of investigations which led us to the perpetrator" Achilles said.

"Nicholas!" He called out. "Alpha!" Nicholas answered.

"Bring out the traitors, let the clan members see them." he said with a stoic expression. "Yes Alpha" Nicholas bowed.

Moving to the back of the clan main building, the sound of clanking of chains could be heard drawing the attention of the crowd.

Looking at the source, after about a minute the source could be seen as two bloodied individuals wrapped in chains could be seen dragged out from the back of the clan main building.

The minds of the clan members rumbled as they felt stricken not expecting what they saw.
