Chapter 3

She even threw down a bed sheet to make it easier for me to climb up.

I gripped the sheet tightly and called out in a hushed voice, "Quick, call the police!"

402 didn't respond.

Why wasn't she answering me?

Realizing this, I rushed to the dorm room door.

Through the peephole, I once again saw the face of the dead girl from 303.

Her complexion changed from flushed to ashen gray, her eyes wide open as if her eyeballs were about to pop out of their sockets.

In the next instant, the dead girl was pushed aside, revealing the gaunt, sinister face of the killer.

He raised his knife high, stabbing it towards the peephole, sneering as he said in a shrill tone, "Open the door, open it now!"

Terrified, I ran back to the balcony.

Then, I sent a message to 403: [The killer isn't in 402, he's right outside my door now!]

403 replied: [The killer went up to the fourth floor, killed 402, and was planning to lure you up with the bed sheet.

[But thanks to my warning, you didn't fall for it. So, the killer ran back down again.

[The killer is extremely fast and has incredible stamina.]

403's messages came flooding in.

She said: [Please, you have to believe me.]

[There's a small hole between my room and 402's room. I saw the entire process of the killer murdering 402.The murderer used a long knife, slicing through 402's neck in one swift motion.]

[And what's more, I noticed that this killer... he's the serial rapist the police have been hunting for recently!]

403 sent me a news link.

Opening the link, a man's face immediately appeared.

The man wasn't particularly ugly, but his eyes showed too much white, giving him a sinister look. His appearance was identical to the killer outside the door!

The news article briefly explained.

The killer was on a spree, known for his violent and easily provoked temperament, targeting female college students for serial rape and murder.

At that moment.

The killer outside went berserk, frantically hacking at the door with his knife.

The cracking and splintering sounds assaulted my eardrums one after another, intensifying my terror.

With trembling fingers, I messaged 403: [Don't waste words, the killer's trying to break into my dorm. Call the police, quick!]

[I already did!]

403 replied, [I even snuck downstairs earlier, planning to escape. But I found out the killer had already locked the dorm's main entrance!]

I closed my eyes, feeling utterly hopeless, and asked: [What should we do now?]

403 said: [Come to my room to hide for now. We'll team up to deal with the killer together.]

Going to her dorm?

I instantly felt something was off.

The killer is male and armed with a knife.

Let alone two girls, even ten girls probably couldn't overpower an armed murderer.

I couldn't help but start to doubt 403.

Was she genuinely trying to help me?

I had a conflict with 403 before.

Just yesterday, she was drying a mop upstairs and dirty water droplets splashed onto my clothes.

I scolded her.

She rushed downstairs and slapped me right then and there.

How could such a vindictive woman, who should be hoping for my death, possibly want to help me?

403 was still sending me messages: [There are only six people living in the entire school dormitory building.]

[I can't reach 301, I guess she's probably dead too.]

[402 and 303 are already dead.]

[Now in the whole dorm, it's just us and one killer left.]

[So, come to my place quickly, let's deal with him together!]

I suddenly started to calm down.

The killer had been trying to break down my dorm door this whole time.

402 threw a bedsheet at me, wanting me to climb to her dorm.

403 kept contacting me, wanting me to go to her dorm.

These three people all had one thing in common.

That is, they all wanted me to leave my dorm!
