Beginning Dual Cultivation

Alex sighed and was slightly apprehensive of asking her for the specifics. If he was questioned about anything on the future, he could simply say he doesn't know what happened and it would only trigger something like an advanced lie detection test. Unless it was a major case with the worst criminals involved, such expensive devices and techniques simply wouldn't be used.
Lilia moved over to mount Alex, but Vanessa's double-edged sword suddenly appeared in her hand and thrust towards the succubi's throat with the intent to kill. Lilia caught the sword in her between her fingers completely unperturbed though and smiled at the cultivator.

Alex swallowed nervously as a dangerous glint shone in the woman's eye, he pink irises turning into reptilian slits and she started to give off a predatory vibe. Alex however, could only stare at the excessively endowed body before him.
"Hmph, you said it yourself, the contract prevents you from harming anyone who belongs to darling."
"How clever~ But you are too weak to hurt me, and I don't need to harm you either~"
Lilia pushed the sword aside and blew a small puff of pink smoke into Vanessa's face, causing her breath to increase and cheeks flush red. She also clenched her thighs together as the essence Alex gave her threatened to leak.

Vanessa was glaring daggers but upon making her resolution, allowing the dam inside of her to burst open in exchange for launching a kick at the succubi's face. Lilia giggled and floated aside to dodge it, but this was a part of Vanessa's plan as it gave her a moment to grab Alex by the collar and point one hand at the sly teacher.
"Tell her to get lost!"
Lilia had an expression of hurt and pleading, leaving Alex to now know what to do.
"She's a devil, ignore her bullshit," Vanessa pulled him close and whispered in his ear, "After what I have just done for you..."
"...Lilia, you have a class to teach, don't you?"
"Yes~" As if her previous pained expression was a lie, she immediately swapped to smiling seductively, "I will see you again after school, master."
"Fine, but put some more clothes on. I don't want others seeing you like this."
Lilia smiled and her wings vanished as she retrieved a new blouse from somewhere and wore it before vanishing in a puff of pink smoke.
Turning back to look at Vanessa, he saw her cheeks were flushed red and her breathing laborious.
"Vee?"

She flipped her hand and the Fire and Ice Duality Scripture she had taken the liberty to buy from Alex's system [Store] appeared in her hand. She flipped out the small book and began studying it, paying no attention to Alex beneath her who didn't know what to do in this situation.

"Hmm, I understand it now," Vanessa mumbled and begun practicing the dual cultivation scripture, adjusting her qi flows and refining the energy within her according to the text.
Her meridians that she had scorched in her rebellion and would since burn every time she absorbed qi, started to become much less painful as she absorbed the fiery energy that was currently swirling about her womb. There was a powerful yang presence within it, which she used to harmonize with her own abundant yin energy before it settled down in her dantian with an ebbing warmth.
She opened her hand and a small candle flame of frostfire, a blue fire that seemed to be made from ice, danced atop her palm.
*'It will take a lot more to replace all my existing qi to this new type, but as long as it is with him, that is okay. His system probably has other resources I can use too.'*
"How many points did you earn?" Vanessa asked, dispelling the frostfire on her palm and scrutinizing Alex.
"286, with a bit of a bonus afterwards."
Alex answered without thinking too much while Vanessa asked about the other times to try and understand the grading rules of his system.
By this point, they were both fully dressed and Vanessa has replaced her stockings and underwear with new ones from her space ring.

Vanessa's attention was immediately drawn to the [!Advancement Quest!] notification that was situated next to her name in the Partners section and quickly pressed on it.

Alex looked at it and was unsure what to say other than, "Why favorability?"
Vanessa was fixated on the "Cultivation Upgrade" part of the reward, even trying to press it to understand more about what it meant. Alas, it turned out to not be a button she could press.
"Well, if you help me improve my cultivation, I will like you more, right?"
"Sure... but there is no favorability statistic in my system. At least there isn't one that I can see."
Alex thought back on the announcements about the favorability threshold being met for both when Vanessa became a partner under his system and again for the release of the advancement quest. It would make sense that there was such a statistic, but it was worthless to him as it was a hidden statistic!
