Confused

Xavier

Riley coming back is not good for me, for the boundaries I set ever since we both decided to go our separate ways. Her reappearance after all these freaking years brought up the emotions I'd rather they remain hidden.

How can I not be swayed even if it's a tiny bit when Riley was my first love and first everything just like I was hers. We were so in love and devoted to one another that we never saw it coming.

I guess life just happened that in the end, going different ways was the best possible decision for the both of us. When I recall how we split up and the hurtful words we told each other, I can't help but want to go back to that day. To just go back and take back the hurtful words I said but didn't mean.

George enters my office after I let him in. To bring us lunch.

"Thank you, George." He nods his head and makes his way out.

I get up from my seat and carry the food bag to my private bedroom. Riley is sleeping soundly like a baby. She looks so carefree and peaceful, different from when she's wide awake.

Riley's actually the first person apart from me to ever use this room. I guess she's still special?

I wake her up. She looks so freaking adorable being confused and all with the nap she just took.

After serving her her portion, we both dig in. Sitting in comfortable silence for once.
