Liar, Liar

Kate

"....756."

Prison life sucks.

I was not supposed to end up like this.

Everything would have gone as planned if Josh hadn't betrayed me at the last minute.

It's all his fault. When I get out, I'll make him pay!

"Inmate 756!" The warden bangs on the door.

I glare at her. "You have a visitor." She says.

I sigh. "I refuse."

"Get up inmate 756." She leaves no room for discussion.

I reluctantly get up from the cold floor as she yanks the steel-bar door open. The other three inmates just look on. I'm kind of a loner here.

The warden leads me to the visiting room. Lo and behold, the one person I don't wanna see.

"Riley."

"Kate Anderson." She smirks as I sit on the other end of the glass divider.

"You here to mock me?"

She chuckles. "Why? Can't I do that after the disgusting stunt you pulled?"

"You deserved it, Riley. I don't regret a thing."

"That's a lie. Your face screams,'Get me outta here'." She freaking laughs in my face. "That facial expression right there is worth me coming here."

I clench my hands. I won't let her get to me.

"I at least got to see you squirm in pain, Riley. It was so exhilarating seeing you try to run away from the boys and I after they beat you to a pulp." It's now my turn to laugh.

"It's good to see that you haven't changed one bit, Kate. It makes me not feel sorry for you."

My composure breaks. "... and Xavier?"

"Are you still hung up on him?"

"Did he finally realise his feelings for me?"

"You're really pathetic, Kate. Kidnapping and attempting to kill me all because you wanted to make Xavier yours?! For a guy who didn't even like you."

"You don't get to judge me."

"You need help, Kate. Before it's too late."

She gets up to leave. I stand up, trying my best to get close to her, but this glass wall won't permit me.

"I hope you rot in this hellhole you created for yourself, Kate." She looks at me with that incredulous judgemental look I hate so much before leaving me screaming for her to come back while banging on the glass divider.

I'm not wrong here!

If Xavier broke off his engagement, then none of this would have happened!

It's all Riley's fault.

She deserved that beating from the boys.

I'm not wrong!
